Would be delighted with a point. Going to be a very tough game but looking forward to it. Shame the injuries are piling up for us but hopefully someone steps up and takes their chance.

Thanks again RTB for another top intro , it feels like proper football is back after that boring break. Two more injuries to key players does not help our cause, and our TV football coverage has been mixed but another away performance Norwich style would do. I'd think about starting an extra man in the middle of the park to try and shut their supply lines down, but this is not our style so anything could happen. OaU.

We are strong away from home, so I'm going for a narrow away win. Ha'way the lads!

Cracking thread as always RTB. Thanks again for your efforts. Looking forward to this one between 2 teams that will play attacking football. Just could be a cracker of a game. Very difficult game though and would gladly settle for a point. Off down to this one and looking forward to seeing friends again and cheering the lads on whatever the result. Keep the faith lads and lasses.

Last time I said this I looked like a mug.

But I do feel we get a good solid whooping here.

Which Sunderland player worries you the most, if any?

Amad Diallo on form looks good and then there’s Luke O’Nien. With the way he plays, I worry someone is going to get a serious injury playing against him.

Looking ahead, how do you think the current Burnley side would fare in the Premier League? Are they ready for the step up...
We have so many players who are largely inexperienced at PL level or have none at all and I think that would be the biggest concern. I would expect new players to come in but I do believe a number of our players are ready for the step up when it comes.

What's your score prediction for Friday? Who will get the goals?
It was 2-0 back in 1973 and we’ve only won by that scoreline once all season so I’ll go for that. It’s impossible to predict goalscorers in this team of ours but if pushed I’d go for Nathan Tella and Anass Zaroury.

Most dominant championship outfit for some time. We're just up from L1, senior players mostly out. No shame in a gumping. But hey, free hit...let's see.

Seemingly the game will be stopped 15 minutes in so those observing Ramadan can take on fluids.

Why not just kick off later? Surely that makes more sense!

Nope. The point is to allow fluids to be replaced. Kicking off later would be irrelevant as still 90 mins to play.

Me too,on my way in an hour or so. I know it's going to be entertaining, especially if we get a chance to play our football. In the past,I've gone to matches like this with feelings of deep trepidation. Not so now. I know we could get thumped...they're a very good side, trying to get over the line for promotion...and it wouldn't be a surprise, but, I love the way we play, and I always think we will create something, which might upset the predictions.
No matter the result, hopefully no more injuries or red cards.......Luke, take note man ...ffs!!:emoticon-0107-sweat
    Looking forward to it!

For me would be over the moon with a draw, have been looking at players we still have available and it looks like we will be short of what we would really need think maybe TM could try something different like putting Ekwah up front with Joffy ?? Not sure it would work but it would give us a bit of physicality at top of pitch if nothing else.

Aye, as good as our players are with the ball they are coming up against a lot of pace and power tonight.

We will need some extra strength in there just to keep hold of the ball enough.
