Jacqueline Gold, 62 - died after a seven year long battle with breast cancer; she was the founder & CEO of the Ann Summers chain. RIP
She was a very clever woman, but she wasn’t actually the founder of Ann Summers, she took over the running of it after her dad (David Gold) bought the company.
I think one of the board members declared 'women don't like sex' when she revealed what direction she wanted to take the company in.

Thought you might like this Made me laugh RIP Bill’s autobiography, Is There Any News of the Iceberg?, was published in 1995. He based the title on his favourite cartoon, which showed people reading the list of those lost on the Titanic while a polar bear asks: “Is there any news of the iceberg?”
Mick Slattery, co-founder of Hawkwind and its original guitarist, has died aged 77. Hawkwind announced in a Facebook post on Saturday (March 18) that Slattery died “peacefully at home” the previous day (March 17) following a short illness. I knew Jacqueline well many years ago, very astute lady indeed, and certainly one who knew how to get business done.
Peter Brown 96. Someone truly deserving of remembrance. Lied about his age to fly in Lancasters at the age of 17. Now we have people of 22 described as young boys struggling with the pressures of playing football for a lot of money. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ilots-Caribbean-died-London-flat-aged-96.html
Paul O'Grady passed away suddenly, 67 no age. Not my cup of tea as an act or presenter, but seemed a thoroughly decent bloke. RIP
Paul O'Grady. A great entertainer but much more than that, a real caring and compassionate human being. His Radio Two Sunday evening show was a joy. RIP Paul. A life well lived and lived the way you wanted.
I respected the way he changed his career throughout the years, came across as someone who could mix with all types of people. Just a thoroughly decent guy. RIP Paul O´Grady
Liked him for his love of animals. His series about animal orphans in Africa and the people caring for them was most enjoyable and interesting. And, as a dog lover who has had 5 rescue dogs, also enjoyed his programmes from Battersea dogs home. Always came across as a decent bloke.
