In 1800 there were an estimated 10,000 Negroes and 1,500 Lascars (Asians) living in the UK [pop around 20 Million], living mainly in the port cities, such as London, Liverpool, Bristol, etc. So 0.05% and not the 50% that the BBC would have us believe. So why change the ethnicity of characters in books written nearly two hundred years ago? And that of well known historical figures? Even today it’s 18% so why the misrepresentation in advertisements etc? Government data about the UK's different ethnic groups. 82% of people in England and Wales are white, and 18%belong to a black, Asian, mixed or other ethnic group (2021 Census data).
The Independent is a leftwing rag that is part of the problem, they are trying to re write Britains History, they'll be telling you Anne Boleyn was back next, oh hang she was because it was on the idiot box so it must be true
I didn't say there were loads, just that there were apparently more than we think. Couldn't care less what the BBC do. TV, film makers and theatres have been reinterpreting classic works for decades. Wasn't there a version of Richard III set in Nazi Germany ?
I’m surprised they didn’t cast a black man in the role. But then again it was made in 1995, before any of this woke bollocks infected our lives
Probably more Chinese as well but you wouldn't think so going off the TV advertising it seems that virtually every family is mixed race with black male and white female heads when in reality you'd be hard pressed to find the bare minimum compared to what is portrayed..... absolute tosh
Same as over here. We get this **** rammed down our throats all the time. The aborigines are always crying out for the white man/woman/ whatever to say "Sorry", but we never hear a 'thankyou'.
Didn't they kick up a stink when Michael Bates played Rangi Ram in 'It aint 'alf 'ot mum" . Got the show taken off as I recall. F*cking hypocrites.
seems like they are toying with the idea of aligning the pension age which is 66 at present with free prescriptions which you get currently at age 60....now the fact that i get mine 'free' which actually boils my piss after paying into the coffers for 50 years, it's the simple bollocks that those who have paid naff all and soaked the system all their life get multitudes of benefits on tap...also when i got my bus pass i had to apply for it and was told by the lady that if i had been on benefits i would have received it automatically no call required ..so this possible outcome of raising the free scrips to the pension age will to me put more strain on the crumbling nhs as people on a few meds won't be able to pay and so could end up worse off health wise, the fact they are toying with the idea means there is a chance they will do it and **** the peasants.....no doubt those who have never contributed won't be affected nor will the invasion armada be neither......what a **** show
It simply doesn't pay to be an hard working Brit in this country the ****s running the ****show will **** you over all the time, we need to burn the ****s and start again
