How much of a fee do Spurs need to get to make that worth their while though and who is going to pay it? Surely for them to be confident of being able to do that, there'd have to be a lot of noise about clubs being interested in him. We've not heard much beyond the Spurs rumours.
I have heard that both Brenford and Brighton have had serious looks. I guess that doesn't mean they will pay the big licks but we will see. Hoping we can keep him but have a feeling he will be away.
Both excellent clubs for younger players, but neither the kind of club to pay over the odds - especially when they both have a strong first choice already.
Say if Brentford were willing to pay us £10m, Spurs could buy him for £6m and agree to sell him to them for £8m if they agreed not to bid direct, meaning both clubs are £2m better off. Cirkin would get a cut out of both deals. Its a bit ****ty, but its becoming more common - think there was a similar situation when we signed Dajaku or someone else...
But out of that £2m, how much do you have to pay Cirkin and his agent? It's got to be enough of a bid to make it worthwhile for everyone. They'd also have to speak to Brentford and find out their level of interest first and also encourage Brentford not to just bid £6m to us directly. Why wouldn't that be better for them?
If I was involved with any of those clubs, I'd be getting him now if I could. They won't be buying him in two or three years time. He is already more or less that level IMO.
He is, and that's a hell of a compliment when we've got Hume putting in top performances on the other side.
Not sure if it has been mentioned on here, but a Temp Sub should be allowed for a head injury assessment.... IMHO
