What a strong burst forward by Clarke to give Hirst that chance.

Another good win and clean sheet. We are doing all we can to snatch one of those automatic places.Wednesday and Plymouth must look at our form with some trepidation.

    Keep it going boys!

7 clean sheets in a row, another competent and confident performance. I thought Chaplin was off form, giving away too many stray passes. Clarke, Massimo and Burns awesome.

Morsy another fine game and avoided a yellow, thank goodness for that!

Just finished watching the match (I had to leave the live stream on pause for a couple of hours whilst I did something else).

An excellent win against a dirty Shrewsbury team and another terrible ref. I thought Clarke was MOTM, played a very good game today.
We are doing everything possible to get automatic promotion and I really hope we can get it. If we don't, I don't fear any of the teams we could come against in the play offs.

Just home from the game (train strikes made my journey interesting). Very solid performance. Morsy and Luongo look a great pair and I think Evans will find it difficult to get back in, if and when he is fit. Also thought Burgess was outstanding today. Shrewsbury played a lot of high balls to the left hand side of our defence and he won pretty much everything. Morsy is also now out of suspension worries unless he picks up 15 bookings. He has been much more like his old self in recent games. Week off will allow players to get a break ahead of a massive April / May coming up. Exciting end to the season beckons

Perhaps KM will give all players a complete 2 day break away from football and training. Spend time with families and friends. A long, intensive season, physically and mentally tough.

Come back refreshed and ready to go again. I cant remember such an exciting end to a season.

I hope they play a full game in house on Saturday, as well as a little bit of time off, of course.

I liked what somebody on twtd said about Morsy giving away less fouls around our box due to him being a little more restrained lately to avoid a yellow card

It was something we were doing as a team too frequently for a while and it resulted in some goals that were avoidable. Hopefully all have learned not to give those silly free kicks away now.

I think Luongo has made a difference that can’t be understated. His reading of the game is exceptional and he’s always looking forward. Some situations that would have become defensive he is creating an attacking opportunity from. Absolutely superb. Morsy must be feeling a lot less of a burden to run it all himself.

All the January signings have improved and freshened the side just when were in danger of seriously falling away.Well done to KMc for spotting the areas that needed improving and for Ashton for facilitating the signings.

Every team must fear us, and seeing Burnley threaten Man city for 30 mins in FA Cup til Haarland put his burners on, gives us great hope for the future.

It was a very one sided match with Morsy and the impressive Luongo running the midfield in fact we started to get a bit careless with simple passes going astray such was the lack of opposition, Shrewsburys form was good coming into this match but apart from a couple of chances they were swept away with every Town player really impressing.
With another big crowd of over 26000 and less than 350 opposition fans our visitor from America must have been impressed with the way things are going at Portman Rd, also our crowd was 1000 bigger than Derbys so shows just how far weve come in such a short time, exciting times.

Why is Accrington so much on our minds? If they score first, Plymouth will be rattled. Unlikely but tasty game.

I suppose a 1-1 draw at Barnsley suits us.

My head says 1-3 and 1-2.

    Come on Accers!

Gaffer, blame Nuggets,me & you are of sound mind :)

before we play again the Owls could be out of sight & Plymouth 5 points.<wah>

The good news though Gaffer, is Roy is back in charge at Palace, so they are doing their bit to get the over 50s back to work <laugh>

Well, I admire Roy having another go, but at 75 tbh, it is not something I would take on, even at Ipswich!

It is a demanding post, needing a lot of energy, stamina, experience, and it is a very stressful job with ridiculous turn-over these days. Look at the Championship this season, how many managers have walked?
