Had a busy day today so not been involved but I'm happy with a point after being behind and another battling performance. It's a great foundation to build on for future transfer windows.
On the way back from the match heard an interesting call with the suggestion that on 60 mins if the game isn't going our way stick Ballard up top as a focal point, O'nien partnering Ballard and Gooch on the left. Why not? He can hold the ball up with other players buzzing around him. Either way what we're trying to do with Gelhardt isn't working so why pursue it?
Do you mean Batth up front mate? You said Ballard up then him at the back. Batth has went up top for the last 10mins or so in the last few weeks and caused problems.

If have thought Ballard is a bit more mobile and more likely to finish a chance off and Batth would be better suited to staying back being the last man. Bit what do I know.
Yeah if I had to pick one of them to take a penalty it'd be Ballard and he generally looks more at home getting forward and trying to make something happen. Great pair of CBs those lads we owe a lot of our success this season to how good they've been.
I didn't realize how fast he was until today -- and he is not scrawny like some of the other lads vying for game time.
I think you're right. He always has an impact when he comes on. Very direct, aggressive, attack minded. All the good stuff.
Someone mentioned at the game yesterday how poor our home form is and I thought to myself that I hadn’t considered enjoying a season so much if we had a patchy home record. I think the football this season has generally been fantastic and we’ve given most of the teams a decent game even if we haven’t come out on top. Some decent depth in the two key positions of central midfield and of course centre forward and I’ve no doubt we’d be right up there. Let’s hope those deficiencies are addressed in the summer as I can really see this club doing well over the next few years if those at the top learn from their mistakes.
In amongst all of the wonderful football and stylish players we have, I am nominating this fella as player of the season. He has been absolutely superb throughout and he seems as calm as they come. Has to be one of our best signings in recent times surely.
Funnily enough I said that to someone, at the match on Wednesday, who was a little surprised. I agree that other players take the eye but Batth didn't receive the most enthusiastic welcome and just got on with the job. He's had competition but you'd now make him one of first on the team sheet .... .... apart from Patterson and Ballard I don't know who else would make the list.
O9 has been tremendous this season . With our injuries, without his versatility we'd be much further down the table.
Official Highlights Extended: Full 90: Post match analysis: Two minutes: Access all areas: Luke O'Nien - what a star
I known TM joked that Luke keeps saying he will play up front if needed. Why not try it at the minute? He would hassle the back line of the opposition like a ****ing terrier. He is a more natural finisher than Geldhart on the evidence so far!
Pretty much sums up Joffy. We need to drop him and get him back to Leeds as soon as the season is finished. https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...-town-late-penalty-earns-a-point-for-the-lads
Was saying that at the match yesterday, the lad throws himself into every position he plays. Nailed on he would score in his first game up front
