Not quite. All of the home charging points have to have an LAN fitted, they saw this coming beards ago. Only they can’t implement it whilst they’re encouraging people to turn to EV, as it’ll dilute the fuel saving which is one of the prime drivers for buying one. It’s defo a stealth policy though.
Has anyone got an electric car? I’m not convinced by them atm. I wouldn’t be confident going on a four hour journey in one. How common are the charging points at garages? How many miles, on average, does a battery do? Do you have a charged up battery in your boot? How long does it take to charge? I think it costs about £500 to get a charging point put in your home? I haven’t got a clue tbh.
nope. I do quite a lot of long journeys if i ever drive and i do not trust an electric car to carry me far enough!
Thinking since I’ve had a good year, been very successful on the financial front, I might buy a hyper car. Something proper flashy like a McLaren P1, a real once in a lifetime sort of buy, the kids will think I’m the coolest dad around. please log in to view this image
Imagine what cars like Escort Cosworth will be worth in another 10 years. Ima keep my RS and think about buying a Mk2 once I’ve finished with the McLaren.
An Escort Cosworth is already filthy expensive! Looking forward to some scenery pics of you in the McLaren over the coming years.
Kipper’s 210mph BMW Half the posts on this thread are from RIP’s or MIA’s. This place has changed a lot in 30 months.
Half of Kippers posts were about things he did and half of them about things he didn't do. That means about 50% of them are now true. I'd wager that's a higher percentage than when he wrote them. May he rest in peace.
