Always seem to pick the same 2 in my top 3 and this week is no different 1. Alfie Jones 2. Sean McLoughlin 3. Regan Slater
Only saw 2nd half so won't submit a top 3, did think Slater looked good, much more natural in the middle. V enjoyable Game, first time in a while I've seen an open match with both team attacking each other rather than one team playing conservatively/negatively.
A hard fought point . Seri - composure and time on the ball , some nice passes . Alfie Jones - excellent display with important blocks , tackles and what looked like a clearance off the line . Elder - energetic and passionate performance going forward and in defence. Well done boys . Come on City .
Slater is like Corry Evans on speed , I hope he gets stronger and I think he will have a decent career . Like his energy down the middle he’s got some engine . It was me who had a go about Seri on Saturday him and Simons were in each others way and both playing short passes in front of our box - he was way better after Simons went off and he was further up the pitch. If we sit that deep it gives the oppos encouragement to press - and we still don’t have counter attacking pace and coordination - we are players short and a WIP so it’s sort of ok.
Slater could be fantastic if he can just develop his passing and composure. He shares a bit of the head down trait that also holds doch back, problem is its probably closely linked to their strongest attributes so I imagine its really hard to balance out.
Coyle Slater Darlow Could have been a few in that three, some great performances. Chose not to put Seri and Jones in there as they were too soft when it came to their goal.
