Complete joke, what happened to the no more than 4 runners per trainer in a race that was mooted years ago ? Having said that I'll still probably back 1 of them !

I like the Kiely runner - be a great story too <ok>

Having said that I think it will take some getting so am looking for something that has won over further and Fun Fun Fun fits the bill - won over 18F on soft on debut, was super impressive last time and gets the mares allowance.

That's the one I fancy too lol

Todays effort.

1:30 - No bet.
2:10 - No bet.
2:50 - An Epic Song 17/2, Fil Dor 11/1, Nells Son 33/1 (8 places)
3:30 - No bet. First time i havent backed Edwardstone today, love that horse but i think Energumene wins today. Neither at a price worth having a go at though.
4:10 - Diesel D'Allier 50/1 (4 places)
4:50 - Coeur Sublime 12/1 & A Wave Of The Sea 50/1 (6 places)
5:30 - Fun Fun Fun 13/2. Also Chapeau De Soleil 16/1 and Better Days Ahead 20/1 both antepost. Better Days Ahead in ew single. Chapeau in an ew patent with both Lossiemouth 16/1 and Gala Marceau 33/1 for the Triumph.

I've also done a special with Paddy Power with a free £5 bet for all SP favourites to place today at 40/1.

My bets Day 2.

Champion Bumper
It's For Me 33/1 e/w

Rarely do an ante-post bet on the Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot, as SP prices are usually good enough for me. However, your ante-post wager on It's For Me in the Champion Bumper is a real corker of a bet. As it's e/w,, just cannot see no payback on this. Regardless of the big field, this Willie Mullins gelding must surely gain a podium finish? The very best of luck, Pilgrim, with this top ante-post wager! <ok>

As a number of posters have alluded to, it looks a challenging day from a punting perspective with 4 of the races having uneasy, short-priced market leaders, 2 impossible looking handicaps and the bumper.

In the Ballymore it would be great to see Paul Nicholls get a winner on the board and Hermes Allen looks to have every chance. There doesn't seem to be much confidence behind Barry Connell's runner which surprises me as he has been equally vocal about Good Land as he was about Marine Nationale. Impaire Et Passe is clearly Closutton's number one but I wouldn't rule out Champ Kiely. A difficult one and "no bet" might well be the answer.

The Broadway Novice Chase market sees Gerri Colombe on the drift this morning and there is the nagging doubt as to why he went to the Scilly Isles rather than the DRF? I'd love to see The Real Whacker win it.

Having tipped Benson to win the Morebattle I'd love to see him follow up in the Coral Cup and with just a 5lbs penalty I think he stands a really good chance - won with plenty in hand at Kelso.

The Champion Chase is very trappy. I can't help thinking Energumene isn't the horse we saw last season (that epic battle with Shishkin took its toll maybe?) but Edwardstone has had hiccups too. Both will be primed for today of course but so difficult to have real conviction about either of them and another race I'll leave alone.

Cross-country looks to be Elliott's for the taking but which one? Again no bet.

The Grand Annual is an absolute nightmare but Dads Lad is maybe worth an e/w poke at 20/1.

Finally the bumper and I think Fun Fun Fun can make good use of the mares allowance.

Thank you very much indeed.

I was tempted to bet on someone else before, but I wasn't convinced by any of them, so I watched three or four times the PTP he won, and I was impressed by the way he went from last to first place so easily. I advised him in the Ante post betting thread on January 11th.

Furthermore, I don't know if he will be affected by the rain forecast for midday, but he won his bumper with soft. Obviously, I want him to win, but if he finishes in the top three, I will have a good profit. In any case, it is a very open race. If money comes in fifteen minutes before the race starts, it will be a good sign.

hard to beat yesterday at the festival but for me day 2 is always my favourite - a lot of top class races and quite a bit of variety too.

1.30 Impaire Et Passe and the other irish challengers are obviously huge threats but I can't fault HERMES ALLEN and will stick with him today
2.10 Hard to call - Gerri Colombe probably a worthy favourite but The Real Whacker and Thyme Hill good each way alternatives
2.50 I have picked out 3 for this to bet each way - HMS Seahorse, Beacon Edge and Fil Dor
3.30 The money has come for Energumene but I'm sticking with EDWARDSTONE, festival form and good season form. The Tingle Creek is always a good indicator. He is top class
4.10 Despite the presence of Galvin I think DELTA WORK remains the quality act in the field and will win this again
4.50 Interesting race and lots of good each way options. I like the look of Epson du Houx, Andy Dufresne and at a big price, Battleoverdoyen
5.30 Quite open for the bumper so will look at how the betting goes later. Fun Fun Fun maybe!

Last year i had a decent day on the Wednesday but it was a rare one as i always find Day 2 the hardest, don't know why, i have done badly on all four before now...!!<laugh><laugh><laugh>

So, here are today's selections...

1:30 - Gaelic Warrior & Good Land - both AP bets, no bets placed today
2:10 - Gerri Colombe, only in AP bets
2:50 - HMS Seahorse, Good Risk At All
3:30 - Energumene, no money put down, might have a bit on Editeur Du Gite before the off
4:10 - Delta Work & Galvin - both in AP bets, no bets placed today
4:50 - Final Orders, Elxir De Nutz & Sizing Potsie, got them all in AP bets, topped up again on them today
5:30 - Fact To File & Encanto Bruno - both AP bets, topped up again on Bruno

A bit of a watching day only today bar my AP bets going on a few of these...<ok>

Good luck to all...<ok> <cheers>
