Wasn’t able to watch the game so can’t comment on performance etc but was a nice surprise to check the score and see we hadn’t lost. As others have said we have to beat Brentford as going into these two games we needed 3 points as a minimum if we are to survive so, whilst a nice bonus point, it really means **** all if we draw/lose on Weds
I thought we were better before the red card, ironically/Jonesily (because they were coming on to us more aggressively). Charly runs about in that press like a man possessed, so I wasn't surprised to see him taken off. I do think Ruben has a tendency to have planned subs a bit too much - would prefer some flexibility there, but that's probably just me overthinking that part.
Also noticed Onuachu only got 5 mins at the end. Too soon to say that Selles doesn’t fancy him? At the time seemed very much a Jones mould signing, started against Chelsea and barely been seen since
It's a shame that all the chances fell to Theo because he's not the greatest finisher although at least he got in good positions to score. Can't complain with a point at OT but we must win our home games to survive. KWP and Perraud have to be our starting FBs from now on, we had a really good, balanced team today.
Quite enjoyed MOTD 2 tonight, didn't have to listen to Ten Hag whinging and no biased opinions from Danny Murphy. Nice one Lineker
First ten/fifteen minutes of the second half we dominated possession, they hardly got near our box. Really thought we were going to push on but yeah, I think Charly coming off meant we lost a bit of momentum.
The whole 'we need to play three CBs to make the team more defensively sound' can finally be taken out the back and shot now, at least.
