Listening to BBC Leicester. Not expecting announcement til Friday now. The deal includes Shakey and Walsh and they reckon there's a few more he's taking with him. He's expected to leave Hull tomorrow.

You could envisage pretty much the whole of his backroom staff going ... I wonder if Muff Radcliffe has still got his Tam O Shanter and could divert his attention away from clipping toe nails, each saturday and spare a couple of hours with City (Hull not Lester).

No wonder Allams are holding out for £1m (Sky) if not more.

I wonder what will happen if the clubs can't agree a compensation figure. Is there some form of FA arbitration on these things or could the deal collapse? If it's the latter I think City would have to put all three on gardening duty because we don't want disgruntled people in charge of our club.

It's starting to get bizarre all this lot. Burnsy say this on the BBC Sport site :

"No-one is going on the record but everyone I talk to, people close to Pearson and people at the club, think it's happening and he is Leicester's man."

Everyone is saying it. Everyone knows it.

What happens if we don't get the compo we want, can Allam simply say well f*ck you Nige and backroom staff, you're all on gardening leave, as with Browny? And Allam proceeds to bring in another management team.

If we paid Bullard for that long why not Nige and staff who are probably on less than Shaggy combined.

That would really piss on Niges bonfire.

If we can't agree NP will just quit and we will (presumably) not get any compensation. We could put NP on garden leave for any notice period he has in his contract

Would cost an absolute fortune in wages to put all 3 on gardening leave and employ 3 more on top.

That would just be ****ing brilliant! I would laugh my arse all the way to Australia and back if that happened!

And he can quit if he likes, but he still can't go to Leicester for a month (I think it is) from the day he resigns, without them having to pay us the compensation package we desire. By which time the foxes will have appointed someone else, they won't wait that long.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that he has the best win to games ratio of any Leicester manager.

Probably depends on how long his notice period is in his contract

Kept Carlisle up in a minor miracle, kept Southampton afloat in the Championship when they were on their knees, took Leicester up and then to within a penalty shout-out of Wembley and then got us close to the play-off's after 5 months of turmoil and a horrendous start and then made a good start to this season.

    What a muppet.

Far too many whingers on here.

Take his departure on the chin and move on. I'm not happy about it, but going on and on about him being a snake is dull as ditch water and is fuelling TWF style trolling. FFS whether you can accept it or not, he's helped us get into the position we're in now in the league and brought in some good players to boot, and for that i'm thankful.

"Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebt to tigers1970 for stating what needed to be said. I am particulary glad that these lovely children are here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed the courage little seen in this day and age. "

When will people realise that a football manager is just like every one else. They look after number 1 first. I just left my job for a better one and left my old employer in a difficult position due to it being a hard position to fill. They wished me well and had no hard feelings. As fans of Hull City we have to do the same with Nigel Pearson, he did all that could have been asked of him while he was here and has left us in a far better position on the pitch than when he joined. If he can get more money and bigger transfer budget elsewhere then he would be a fool not to take up the opportunity if he possibly could. It is very easy to end up on the scrap heap as a football manager so you have to make the most of every opportunity to progress that comes your way.

on a side note, with skybet Joyce is down to 2/1.

there must have been some coin popped on him today although the market will be so small that even a few punts would bring his price in.
