Pure speculation on my part, I know, but I wonder if he had a fit of pique when he was passed over for the manager's job? EDIT: Reading this back, I think I am being a bit uncharitable here. Equally possible is that the way things panned out made him realise that he needs to get managerial experience at a lower level before he can aim for clubs at Norwich's place in the footballing hierarchy. EDIT # 2: On the other hand, if this is the case: 1) Why not stay in the job and apply for others? It's always stated that it's easier to get a new job if you're already in a post, 2) Why did Wagner's comments sound much less magnanimous that he usually is?
He has been today, not been strong enough, in contrast he was really strong and his hold up play excellent last week
Well that was 45min we will never get back. What has gone wrong? Sargent on for Idah would be a start.
Lots of silly cock ups , playing so high up the pitch if Kenny Gibson or Handley get caught in possession Sunderland are in on goal. Just looks like a lack of concentration
This reminds me more of a poor Farke performance than a Smith performance. Lots of possession but no penetration, and fragile at the back. I suspect this may well be my last Match Day Review for a while.
