All the words you used in that post, with the possible exception of Theresa, were used in Mein Kampf.

No way back for either party now, you'd think. A lot of people losing their jobs over one man's need to push his luck.

    Football Focus also....YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't have to listen to thick f*ckers, who are unable to speak correctly...

I wonder if they have been given this spare time off work to learn pronunciaton of basic words containing the letters, 'TH'?...through being sent to infants school lessons that teach under 5's phonetics of speach...:emoticon-0140-rofl:...

Or will they complain about me calling the FICK f*ckers? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Are you serious? The head of the BBC is a Tory donor who brokered an £800,000 loan for Boris just before he got the job and has not had to face the consequences. Fiona Bruce condoned wife beating of Boris’s dad by saying it was a one off without consequences. The right wing Tories get away with murder.

I reckon MOTD will get record ratings tonight. Guess the BBC win then.

Radio 5 live off? Is anything left?

How they get out of this one now is beyond me.

The hypocrisy of the BBC is staggering... Lineaker NEVER mentioned the Nazi's..he did comment on the similarities between the rhetoric of the Germans in the 30's and current Tory party...nothing to contentious there...also, if i'm not mistaken, i'm sure the Conservatives are the Party of free speech...or is this as long as there's nothing said about them. The only good thing about this is we don't have to hear the abject nonsense of the women commentating on the mens game which I find really irritating ( Yes i'm a dinosaur)

He was simply comparing the tone of the language which is undeniably similar ...

... he wasn't saying the Tories run a concentration camp for undesirables, fail to treat people humanly or have tub thumbing rallies around the country <laugh>

Nor did he say they've taken over the Chancellory and have helped themselves to millions taken from the public purse. In fact no mention of vast sums of money stashed away in bank accounts in Switzerland or offshore countries.

This video from 2018 is on the BBC's website and says, "Gary is not involved in any news or political output for the BBC, and as such, any expression of his personal political views, does not affect the BBC's impartiality."

    What changed in 2023? #IStandWithGaryLineker

Personally couldnt give a flying one Re the BBC or GL its the freedom of speech being taken away that does it for me.

He didn't need to mention Nazis. He was hardly referring to Marlene Dietrich when he cited Germany in the 30s.

It was a juvenile, wildly inaccurate attempt at being clever. And not for the first time. The bloke is puddle deep who prefers to debate with himself using one sentence arguments on an imbecilic platform.

No doubt HMRC are a disgrace too for chasing him for £5m in unpaid tax.

As with his talkalot buddy Neville, he is always urging government to spend money on things that make them feel good, but employs every rich man's tool at his disposal to minimise his own tax bill including dodgy third party arrangements and a Virgin Island holding company.

Tax is for poor people to pay who can't afford to avoid it.

    Exactly.

When people mention 'principles' it's clearly not Lineker's own that others are sympathising with. After all there'll be some who are boycotting the BBC who'd disagree with him flogging crisps to kids of taking the Qatari dollar.

It's the principle of having the right to free speech which doesn't mean people agree with what he's said.

It's clear enough but people seem to miss it ...

    ... deliberately I'd imagine.
