Referring to next week,s game at St Mary,s, he is quoted as saying (quote) "The newspapers will be full of how Brighton stopped Southampton at St Mary,s" Cannot think of better motivation for NA and the boys to ram that that down his petulant throat next week!
This and Pompey are the only 2 games I REALLY didn't want to lose this season. With our current home record, I don't want to lose or draw. If Brighton get even a point at St Mary's he won't shut up. Having said that, he'll probably moan that Brighton were better/cheated/tired.
Notice how he didn't say how the papers will say how Brighton beat us at St Mary's. Sounds like he's planning on parking the bus again.
What a silly thing to say...going up against a team as dominant at home as Saints have been, you probably don't want them spending the last ten days of an international break fixated on proving you wrong. Great news as a Saints fan, though; at least we won't have to worry about them being complacent!
Brighton can stay fixated with us if they want (after all, despite beating us to the L1 title, they failed to beat us in either of the two matches between us, and also got whopped in the Team-of-the-year), but why are we still fixated with them? To be honest, I was slightly annoyed that so many of us seemed to be so fixated with them last season, but I certainly don't think we should so fixated about them this season. We're top of table, they're mid-table. We've got our proper rivals back, they've got their proper rivals back. For sure I want to beat them, but not because they're Brighton. I want three points, I want to continue to wonderful home run, I want to move yet another step closer to promotion.
Imagine Gus Poyet, Darren Ferguson and Ian Holloway as dinner guests round at Adkins... ...he might just slip a little euthatal into their drinks...
It's not often I wish ill on any team Including Pompey , BUT I honestly hope we stuff Brighton out of Sight .
I was dreaming of the past And my heart was beating fast I began to lose control I began to lose control I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy I was feeling insecure You might not love me anymore I was shivering inside I was shivering inside I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy I was trying to catch your eyes Thought that you was trying to hide I was swallowing my pain I was swallowing my pain I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy, watch out I'm just a jealous guy, look out babe I'm just a jealous guy By Gus Lennon Poyet
He's a very jealous idiot that hasn't got a clue. We were better in the previous two games! Does his recent quote mean/sound like he is admitting we are better...?
He's just covering his own back, i noticed he said words like it will be a miracle if we win (just so he can get the board and fans off his back if they were to lose), but for some reason they were to win he wants to receive all the plaudits. He is no team player and I have heard there fans are getting fed up with his excuses so hopefully we can give them more to talk about!!
And when they lose it'll be: "Oh well Southampton have more finances than us so yeah!..." F*ck off you monkey-faced jealous loser/twat. I hope we murder them on the pitch.
yeh and Brighton outspent us this summer. Any excuse he tries will be invalid. we MUST beat them next Saturday.
SaintsFan4Life here - this man is seriously a prick, i propose a rapturous load of booing and abuse headed towards him EDIT: I knew i shouldnt have let him loose on my laptop ! ... but reluctantly i have to agree.
Does anyone actually know what this man's problem is? Did he have a bad experience against us when he played for Chelsea or Tottenham or something? I just can't work out why he is such a dickhead to us! Perhaps it goes back to that 4-0 win in the FA Cup 3rd Round, 2003...
