I never said that. I actually said our desire and intensity was summed up in that second goal perfectly. Utd were that bad though they imploded under the pressure. If we won 2-0 and played that well I'd be delighted. the other 5 goals just icing on the cake mate.
a lot of the time we fail to. yesterday was like the palace game in the vvd injury season. every shot went in. sometimes it has that added bonus. compare and contrast this display to the abject cowardice at palace. night and day. hunting all over, in for everything. scrapping for the ball. etc etc. They have set the bar and have 1 game a week for the rest of the year now to maintain that desire (IMO) it can't go all your way like that but the desire is whats important. give that and imo we can take a lot of points.
Don't forget the huge difference having Konaté back made. Confidence at the back coupled with confidence at the front pays dividends.
I had an interesting workday today Loads of bantz but this intriguing discussion came up cutting long story short Is winning 7-0 a longer lasting effect than winning the carabou cup It was my mate who said it not me He said as a Utd fan he would rather that we had won the CC and lost 7-0 cause that 7-0 will be brought up all the time - every fixture until it’s bettered CC will only be remembered until next season couldn’t work out if he had a point ? wondered what you guys and girls thought
Na it's only relevant until the next meeting. Look at the 5-0 and 4-0 last season, when they beat us 2-1 it's almost old news from that point onwards.
A trophy is a trophy and I don't think I'd swap that for any other result. Depending on how the final goes, the game itself could fade from memory though. Beating your biggest rival 7-0 will never be forgotten. Just to add another layer. Would you have taken a draw before the game yesterday to beat Real 7-0 in the next game?
yes to never forgetting beating utd 7-0 probably yes to swap it for a draw and 7-0 v real. (cos we have a half chance of winning against any other side left in comp)
The opposition view! Apparently according to Mr Goldbridge the answer is more money and richer owners.
