….and if we needed any more evidence that Matt Hancock is a complete cretin, he hands all his E correspondence to a journalist who has broken codes of confidentiality in the past, is a very public anti-lockdown libertarian, is the squeeze of Richard Tice, another hardly sympathetic creature and is in the pocket of ‘Lord’ Ascroft, King of Belize.

…..we also didn’t require any more proof that aracnophile ‘Sir’ Gav Williamson is as thick as pigshit as well as being a nasty piece of work.

Oakeshott is a despicable ****. How Hancock could be so incredibly dumb as to entrust his Whatsapp messages to someone whose previous betrayal wound up sending her confidante to jail is bewildering. Williamson is the epitome of Johnson's barrel-bottom scraping after he'd purged the Tory front bench of anyone with any hint of scruples or talent. What a horrible cancerous growth on British politics Johnson was, and is.

Jesus! You're sticking up for a Tory! Matt Hancock Strolls? I'm not voting for any of these losers in the next election, no party. Not that it will make a lot of difference. Oakeshott is Standing up for the people that the the lockdowns were wrong|! The government were wrong on the pandemic hoax. Oakeshott was originally another charlatan in the agreement to lockdowns, so she is stabbing herself in the back. The lockdowns were a
    hoax.

What was the purpose, who did it benefit 999s...

You might believe it was unnecessary (you might / I don't) ...but a hoax...please explain what you mean by a hoax.

A Florida resident has died after becoming infected with a rare brain-eating amoeba, officials say.

Health experts in Charlotte County, in southwest Florida, say the victim was probably infected after rinsing their nasal sinuses with tap water.

Naegleria fowleri infects the brain through the nose. Officials say that drinking it is not dangerous.

Infections are almost always fatal, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Officials have not identified the victim.

On 23 February, the Florida Department of Heath said that a patient had been infected "possibly as a result of sinus rinse practices" utilising tap water.

On Thursday, a spokesman for the state health agency confirmed that the patient had died.

Officials across multiple government agencies are "continuing to investigate how this infection occurred," spokesman Jae Williams said.

He added that officials are "working with the local public utilities to identify any potential links and make any necessary corrective actions".

The amoeba typically lives in warm fresh water such as swimming pools, lakes and ponds.

It can lead to a severe infection if it enters through the nose, but it is normally safe through the mouth because stomach acid kills the single-cell microorganism.

People who are infected contract a disease called primary amebic meningoencephalitis.

Symptoms include headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, disorientation, a stiff neck, a loss of balance, seizures and/or hallucinations.

According to the CDC, around three Americans get infected each year, often with deadly consequences.

Between 1962 and 2021, only four of the 154 people infected in the US survived.

CDC data suggests infection in winter months is incredibly rare.

Officials warn that to avoid infections people should not rinse out their nasal passages with untreated tap water.

Sterile or distilled water are preferred options. Tap water can also be used if it is boiled for at least one minute and cooled before use.

People are also advised to avoid taking on water in their nose while in swimming pools or bathing or showering.

Just saw Sadiq Khan use the age old missive of stating that some of the protesters, campaigning against the ULEZ expansion outside Ealing Town Hall were “Far right, Covid deniers”.
The bloke truly is an arrogant ****

Sundry Tories wetting themselves in delight that Sue Gray, who led the Partygate etc enquiry, is leaving the civil service to becomes Starmer’s chief of staff. They think this proves she is left wing and means her report can’t be credible.

Well, I suppose there’s a chance they are right, but it’s interesting that they instantly impose their own values and standards on others, and assume that, whatever your personal views, you cannot do a job professionally with impartiality. Because they can’t conceive of doing this themselves, they will always fix things in favour of their mates, they think it’s normal. And it’s exactly what they are doing now, spinning to get their old mate Johnson, who helped them in their public money feeding frenzy, off the hook.

Anyway, being Starmer’s chief of staff sounds like a miserable job, good luck to her.

I don’t know anything about ULEZ, is it a party political, ‘libertarian’ issue?

The point that Khan is making is dodgy though. If I hold a view that happens to be shared by some unsavoury ****ers (who I disagree with on everything else) does it mean I mustn’t share my opinion, or I’ll be branded as one of ‘them’?

To be honest, from the people I know that are being effected by it, it’s more of simply being able to afford getting a new car….and people around here, just on the borders are being ****ed over big time by it….

Agree with your second point absolutely
