    Match preview;
Although the performance was much improved, there was no fairy tale return for Ainsworth on Saturday, as we lost for the fourth game in a row. That loss sees us drop to 18th in the table. Top scorers are Willock and Dykes with 6 goals each. We've only scored 35 all season, even less than the two clubs directly below us, Birmingham (38) and our hosts on Saturday, Rotherham United (37).

Rotherham United sit in 20th, having drawn three, lost two and won one game in February. Their top scorer is Chiedozie Ogbene on 8 goals, second on that list being ex-Ranger, Conor Washington, with 6 goals. Their manager, Paul Taylor, has a very similar story to Ainsworth. Having played most of his football in the lower leagues, he took over as manager at Exeter, and after four years, and gaining promotion to League One, he was appointed manager at Rotherham in October 2022. Since taking over at Rotherham he's managed 25 games, and only won 5...losing 12, so surely we have to go into this game with confidence, knowing it is winable.

    Team News
QPR: Chris Willock, Ethan Laird, Ilias Chair, Jake Clarke-Salter and Leon Balogun will miss out, but Tyler Roberts and Sinclair Armstrong may return.

Rotherham United: Domingos Quina, Ben Wiles and Grant Hall will all miss out.

    Pre-match Talk
Gareth Ainsworth (QPR head coach): “We have some hurdles to overcome which may take time, but we’ve got to be positive, and we have got to play in a way where we believe we can win. We need to pick points up.

“Momentum is huge in football – that first win could be a real watershed moment for us and we’re looking forward to every game, believing that we can win, starting on Saturday at Rotherham.”

Matt Taylor (Rotherham manager): “People forget what good players QPR have, people were talking about them at the start of the season as promotion candidates.

“They’ve had a bit of a dip in recent times but now have a new manager who we know quite well, there’s no doubt that he will have his team right up for this game - the side that shows that little bit of quality will probably come out on top.”

...and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Chair to be assessed, Armstrong and Roberts should be available, even the lesser spotted Balagoun closing on a return.

‘The performance was much improved’ ???? - did you miss the second half @daverangers? If not, please send me a bundle of whatever special Parisian medicine you are taking.

    Cheers.

I'm surprised at least 5 of the squad didn't do hamstrings taking part in that !

A combination of fear and disgust! Presumably they won't be confronting the opposition with a Hakka before each month

Confession time...I missed the whole game, was going off short highlights that made us look ok in the first half, which in my defence, is an improvement from being awful in both halves.

Good on Gareth, he's obviously recognised a lack of leadership on the field. Team building shouldn't be underestimated and if nothing else, will bring a greater camaraderie amongst the squad plus give us some entertainment before kick-off. True leadership begins at the top so great to see Gareth and his backroom staff also participating.

I still remember before that Man City end of 2011/12 season game the team motto was "we are together".

    Need the same togetherness now.

I hope that they didn't pay a huge fee for the external consultant as I'm sure our very own Kiwi would have come to London to take the session for the cost of a £500 ticket. If we can't have Kiwi as our manager, we can get his fellow countrymen!

I think we should be lining up on the centre circle and doing it just before kick off to each team we play. We should also change our name to Queens Park Hakka !

Bit harsh mate, I think that you will find that the horrendous coercion of children goes on throughout the UK, just so happened Rotherham Council got singled out. Ultimately Councils funding has been cut so drastically that the majority cannot run a decent Children's Services and Police cuts mean they cannot address what they would normally. Let's be clear, these horrendous events will continue to happen throughout our country along with the stabbing free for all whilst we allow the savage cuts to the public sector, and no one does anything/gives a **** about it, unless its where they live
