With the Daily Fail Reporting that Warren Joyce, Nicky Barmby on the short list, and with the super News that Cameron Stewart Fit,

    and plays tonight.

Lifts a bit of the GLOOM.

I still have faith in the Team to Prove they are Hungry for " Premiership "

Also I know that with Joyce and Barmby the are 100% HULL CITY.

    LETS HOPE. UTT

    Joyce and Barmby??

Rampant emotionalism and small time club thinking rules there then.

We should NOT appoint someone purely because of some past link with the club, or because they've played here for many years. What we need is someone who can do the job, I'd say preferably with lots of experience. Now is not the time for risks or blubbing sentimentality. Our season hangs in the balance.

We'll be limping into another disaster if we get one of these in. I say again, small time.

Id prefer Dave jones or Billy Davies on the grounds they know the championship and could attract a few decent players, however if they decide to go down the other route then joyce and barmby or ogs would be a good choice (hopefully)

Would be my first choice at the moment Solskjaer, Joyce isn't just been linked because of his past connection with us (proberly mainly that) but he is also, as the article says, he has improved as a coach otherwise why would Fergie bring him to Man U

Everyone seems to be forgetting Joyce turned us down once already when the position was available last summer. What makes you think he'll want to come now?

Burnsy and his infinite wisdom seems to think that his sources are suggesting AP(if staying!) fancys a youngish manager to work with our young squad. If true that pretty much rules out Davis, jones, mclaren etc and must make Robinson hot fave as clark wont come.Id like solskaer n joyce with barmby playing some role.

I said that on another thread. Seems people don't actually read half the things on here. Maybe that's why there's so many threads on the same subject.

A lot can change in 18 months, NP has proved that by returning to a club that didn't give a **** about him back then!

the state and position that the club is now in for starters. plus some of his boys are here which would also be an attraction.

    Party Hull is spot on.

Joyce is a legendary figure here, but that was another time, another place, and another team. He should not be cashing in his godlike reputation to come in now. He has no credentials whatsoever to manage the Tigers, apart from that we're all grateful he saved us back then.

I would welcome him back with open arms as a coach - but what experience does he have of Div.1? His expertise now is bringing through kids, and the reserves. We need someone who can come in and manage everyone From Barmby and Koren down to Devitt and Dudgeon.

Sorry, but Joyce isn't that man.
