She's been diluting her shareholding, it was picked up a few weeks ago but not in the mainstream media. She still has the court case with Ashley about the money she borrowed from him to buy her stake. Lose that and he gets her shares back. So, most likely, she's been quietly reducing her holding so she can pay him if she loses. Without her shares she'd just be a club employee, but imagine how it would be if Ashley got a stake back on the board, seems as there's no love lost between them now? If that got broadcast as well it would leave them in a real mess.
It's why the EPL don't want an independent football regulator. However, they may actually act this time to try and show that the EPL doesn't need an independent regulator and can handle things themselves. Right now it's a complete mess.
It's easy! They'll just pop along to the courts. You know, the courts that Ashley and Saudi Arabia threatened them with to force the kidnapping? The same courts that the EPL just popped along to and made Saudi Arabia decist their piracy operation against Bien Sports? the ONLY thing that should happen is for ALL major sports to act together to stop all unfair investment and sportswashing. obviously they will not do this as greed is always the final decider, a small fuss will be kicked up then it will all be swept under the carpet as usual.
I don't know about anybody else but if they are forced to sell the clerb, I for one, am worried that all this investment in the reejun will be stopped in it's tracks.
If they had to sell and Mike Ashley bought them back, (i can live in hope) the meltdown would be fantastic.
