Club showing rapid progress. A month ago lost by three. This time won by two. That's a swing of five goals. If we play them again in April we will win by 7 goals.

    That's science.

I think someone commented it should actually be a pen if they are disallowing the goal.

I agree. Jota was shoved over. ref even reviewed the whole thing and totally ignored that. zero common sense

At least some justice was done after.

I also saw Z comment there were gaps there. I'm sure those were just OOTs not attending as the actual crowd was far better than a regular weekend game in terms of support.

Finally, 1 point for safety. where are the negative nora's who were saying they didn't see where we'd pick up points when we were on 29. eh eh.. :emoticon-0146-punch

My main issue is hard to fix. No midfielder wanted to get turned and make forward play.

throwing the ball back at alisson and konate and vvd is just putting them under pressure.

Busy midfield at least should be shuffling left and right looking to be open for pass or drawing someone with them to make a gap.

We have too many lads willing to get 20 yards ahead of play rather than make play.

Say what you want about thiago but that’s where his quality is. Receiving the ball from defence on the half turn and playing it forward.

True, but so is what Biscan says...

... You basically highlighted the pre-Thiago issue

Still baffled by the yellow for Fabino.

Surely Lamina has to get a card also, studs up challenge straight through Fab, who looks like he's trying to jump over him.

    yes and no.

if thiago does other things that are worse (not bothering his arse tracking runs) or slowing play down actually them it's not a solution.

if we watch other teams the midfielders are not sprinting about killing themselves they are just moving and available to be the next pass and focused on getting turned.

watching our team with milner and Henderson stood stock still beside a man, not moving at all or if they do they refuse to turn and every ****ing pass is back or sideways we are going nowhere.

I don't want cbs having to play ball. I don't want our sole attacking option be matip running forward on ball. it's that simple.

we have to get the ball up the park in a progressive manner. the forwards need fast ball, better ball.

fabinho looked like he was doing that stand on the ball trick stuff and lamina smashed through.

it was a biased **** ref.

Ah, can't find it anywhere now, but I'm sure i read an article somewhere with an interview with a Liverpool midfielder, about how he found the change to playing for Klopp difficult because Klopp didn't want them to receive the ball on the half turn?

    Am I just dreaming it?

Doesn’t sound likely. In that instance you’re only ever going to be passing the ball backwards.

Bajcetic has been good in receiving it in the turn. Think it was the 2nd newcastke goal he got it from vvd on the turn and took the press out the game which opened up the whole pitch and we scored from.

Brod tells his players to be side on when receiving the ball so the can twist or turn quicker, opens you up to be dispossessed too though. Maybe Klopp tried to down play it a bit doubt he's rule it out completely.

dunno mate but it'd be odd.

you have to move trams about and pass quickly.

if you don't move for the pass then your teammate cannot pass it fast.

we all see the cbs looking for a pass and us tossing hopeless balls forward or into the bad option who has to knock it right back or lose it.

you have to be available for the pass and open.

trent is legendaryly bad at opening himself up when out wide for the ball down the line. he plays most of the time very closed off and really only has sideways or back as his options unless in complete space.

Robbo too. Extremely one footed so if the ball isn't played in front of him, he's going backwards every time.
