Morning all, could be a very good day for favs as there are so many short priced ones today. Plenty of accas to be had although wouldn’t get too rich, now time to go and find them.
Not much you can say about those field sizes at Musselburgh and Wincanton, today, is there beyond 'cor blimey'?!? That's why this paragraph is ending somewhat short. Says something about the current state of the NH game when the most interesting thing happening and the item hitting the headlines (right now that's exactly what it is on the Racing Post website) is a trainer (albeit THAT trainer) taking horses for 'a work-out' at an all-weather track!!!
Very dull-looking fare today, but I'll have the usual bash with a couple! 15:45 Wincanton - Any News A Class-3 Handicap Chase over 2m4f. Fair effort at Kempton LTO 19-days ago with a first-time tongue-strap applied which is retained for this race, but wearing cheekpieces for the first time. Talented young NH jockey, Danny McMenamin, on board for the Neil Mulholland stable. 7/2 is the generally-available best price at time of writing. (NON-RUNNER) 16:25 Musselburgh - Croagh Patrick Form indicates the gelding should give a good account in this extended 2m7f Class-5 Handicap Chase. Jonathan England rides for the Sam England yard. 3/1 is the generally-available best price at time of writing. (Distant 3rd of 6) (Prices from Oddschecker)
