Please will you all STOP this Potter witch hunt.
I really don’t understand people wanting to get Potter the sack and bring back these old managers to Chelsea or any other manager.
What ever you think they only want instant success “ for themselves and there own CV’ that’s it. And they will bring in very experienced players to achieve that. How does that help long term.
Did Mourhinio see the long term, and wanted to nurture young players, if he did then we would still have De Bruyne and Salah.
TT don’t know about his situation but he must have had a very bad meeting with the owners . Maybe he told them they were going the wrong way.
And yes we did have decent managers but for the way the past owner wanted. But he sacked them after 18 months to 2 years.
And we had to start again.
Roman was great but his way of building a club long term was a bit strange, with zero continuity. And yes he did give us all a wonderful joy ride.
But now we have a wonderful chance to really build for the future, in a way that has never been done before in English football, or maybe world football. Bur I have seen it before, I’ve had a home in the USA for 25 years and have seen how this has been implemented in sport over there. It’s quite brilliant it really is.
Now we have Potter, of whom is regarded as top quality by many other managers including Pep Guardiola who stated that Potter gave him massive problems when his team plays Brighton.
Is that NOT enough for you lot ( who haven’t a clue about managing a football club) to give the man a chance.
Do you not think the owners looked for a manager who would be willing to NOT massage his own EGO but get stuck into the job.
And agree to follow the project.
Do you all not think Potter doesn’t deserve all this crap from people who know quite frankly nothing.
Just irritating views (yes we are all allowed a view) but have a bit of sensible knowledge about the subject before shouting your mouths off.
And it’s quite disgusting to be honest.
Do you NOT understand what the club are trying to do, if not then educate yourselves and understand.
These new owners have come in and spent a bloody fortune in just a few months.
How on earth can anyone not get behind that.
Lastly it is NOT in Potters DNA to bloody jump up and down in the dug out and rant and rave at after match interviews. Why because he is not playing to an audience for his own EGO.
He is getting on with his job in his own way and NOT in the way some of you want.
So please give him and our club full support moving forward.
Sorry to have to say this but If you don’t like it then just piss off and support another club, because you are a bloody embarrassment to my club.
Harsh words yes, but this is getting seriously out of hand. And it needs to stop.

    What ya think?

I'm not on facebook, but I am one who is not convinced by Potter and especially Boehly.
Firstly Boehly. He's not the owner, that's a Venture Capitalist Company, Clearlake Capital, not known for generosity, or love of anything except profit. Not for a second do I expect a change of heart because they bought the Club. Their "plan" for a more stable environment with a Football Manager who's part of the ownership "Team" is good in theory, but smacks of shared control over every aspect of the job of running a successful Club. That is considerably more for the Manager to be responsible for, and Tuchel wanted no part of it.. He is a manger of a Football Team, not a Club. Two entirely different life skills. The crucially important buying and selling of players then becomes murkier. This aspect causes problems ,resentment, grumbles and discordance in virtually every Club on earth if it is not handled properly. Boehlys' record shows that to be exactly the case at Chelsea. Crazy spending, scattergun approach to "buy" success is exactly what is NOT needed if your "plan" is a good one, but what we got anyway.
For instance, we now have untried, untested players on long term contracts, some ready to play, some with not enough experience yet. We have a couple of gems, albeit unbelievably overpriced, on salaries that are never going to make half the team happy. Our youngsters look likely to leave or be sold off, while a plethora of other youngsters from other countries are bought to join the academy. Far from bringing everyone together, this is already having exactly the opposite effect as almost no players have any idea if they are part of the "Plan" because no-one can work out what the Plan is !! Disharmony, a huge drop in morale and a now ridiculously unfair salary system has caused us to slump to 10th place and still dropping as one dispirited display follows another.
Which brings us, secondly, to Potter. He has had the rough end of the pineapple for sure, but he has also brought zero visible improvement to the form of any outfield player, and no detectable style of play that makes sense to many better judges than me .Kepa is the only one who could be considered in better form than pre- Potter.
Selections have been weird and substitutions unfathomable. And there we are.
There is a difference between white anting the efforts of the hierarchy, and expressing alarm and dissatisfaction with what is happening. I'm on the latter team, and just hoping that things will settle down, sanity will eventually return and the Team and Clubs' fortunes improve. However I see little evidence of that in the short Term, have mentally written this year off. An end of season clear out will be the best thing we could do, then Potter can show his worth or not, and maybe Boehly will better understand money isn't the only answer.

….I think the heart’s been ripped out of the club thanks to a totally extreme reaction to Abramovich by the British government. To lose Abramovich, Petr Czech, Marina, Bruce Buck, Tommy Tuchel etc was always going to cause extreme instability. On the field of play, losing Rudiger and Werner has also not worked out well. It’s also obvious that Boehley knows more about Baseball than football - you just can’t expect to buy top football players and expect them to gell immediately like you can with baseball.

Sit tight enjoy the ride CP. Don't over do it, your blood pressure will suffer and you need not, another worry for your brain. Chelsea is not at danger from capitulating into oblivion, but on the contrary, given time Potter will deliver and your woe's become a thing of history.

Wow. Pretty por display from Chelsea. All huff and no puff there. We desperately need a goal never mind a striker. I’m still not going for knee jerk reactions but improvement needs to be made quickly.

The part that confuses me is if we’re aiming to rebuild, which we must be, then why are we playing so many players who won’t be here next season? To give them some market value?

Ziyech, Aubameyang, Azpilicueta last week, Zakaria (who I like) but won’t be here next year so phase him out.

Agree on the above about a keeper, Kepa should save the first one but even then, we could’ve played until midnight and we wouldn’t score.
