You shouldn't have to have anybody on 'ignore' because he ruins your threads, RTB :emoticon-0145-shake

Can you not see what you're doing, Prehab . . . . these match threads are probably the very best on the whole NOT606 forum. Stop constantly whingeing about what might/could have been, man <doh>

Sorry thought adults could debate. No insults or breaking or rules have occured. People can take it or leave it I guess.

Trouble is mate there is no debate, we all feel exactly the same.

    There's a point when a debate becomes a lecture and I think we're there.

Bad 7 days that's all. Don't know why everyone's getting their knickers in a twist. We've done well, this season was about consolidation. On our day this team is very good but we'd all have expected this to happen surely? My only concern is the striker balls-up, for it to happen the first time, acceptable, the 2nd time not so. But I do have a bit of empathy for the powers that be.

If you wish to debate " the missing striker " start a new thread with that heading then any one interested can comment there, instead of disrupting match threads.

I honestly don't think you can discuss today's performance without mentioning the lack of firepower/striker available to the team. Tony post match mentioned it a lot, albeit being very diplomatic and trying to keep the players and the fans upbeat.

Mowbray is basically saying the same thing yet people still want to argue the toss

It’s just frustration. Speakman has done a great job overall but it’s showing what a massive mistake it was not signing a centre forward, that’s all.

Nobody expected Stewart to get injured but I’d have expected another centre forward other than Simms to be lined up. I think Mowbray probably believed that too.

Anyway I’m sick of thinking of the striker issue now so let’s see what Stoke brings as it’s going to be another game just like Coventry.

Also please can we stop with this “bedwetters” bollocks, it’s just childish and embarrassing.

Mate I said it on here the second the window closed , and I was shot down as being negative and I'd given up . It wasn't the case at all the young lads have done brilliantly for us this season . I did say we had blown the chance of the playoffs by not recruiting a striker and i stand by it unfortunately

Only read the last few comments on this thread since kick off. I guess some are still running on about the striker thing. Better to debate what we could do better with what we have rather than endlessly half on about something we can't . Frustrating with the talent we have in our team that we couldn't open them up more. Need to start running behind the defence more or just having a go even if there's just a glimpse. Amad's goal was superb. Disappointing few results but wow - look at us and where we are for a newly promoted team!

I'm not gonna spend my Saturday night calling people out , but if your saying that there wasn't people saying that we didn't need a striker and we'll be fine then your wrong. I don't mean just on this forum by the way I meant in general

Really, I haven't seen anyone saying we wouldn't be better off with Stewart or an equivalent striker tbh. But there's only so many times you can keep repeating the same thing.

And surely you can't expect everyone just to give up because you have ....

    ... Boro didn't.
