Honestly i give up, we are all annoyed that we didnt sign a striker but this whole we should just sign anyone is embarrassing. Cant even believe folk saying they would rather have connor wickham, who is a shocking player but hes a striker so lets go for him.

The recruitment team has transformed us from a shi**e L1 team to a top half of the championship side. We have the youngest team in the league so we are only going to get better but folk want to just sign anyone. Thats exactly what got us into the mess we got in, we signed players just to get bodies in and thats not how you build a succesful team.

We were always going to have ups n dwns this season but at least we know the club is moving in the right direction. I dont care about short term success, i care about long term success and us building a club that we can be proud of. I dont want us going back to the days of signing the likes of wickham or players of the calibre of chris martin.

I get that im probably winding folk up with sticking up for our recruitment team but thanks to folk like speakman im proud of my club again. Certain people will only post when we get beat and never give praise to the club.

Im going to stay off here until the end of the season as cant be done with all this chat every week. Ill jump on in the summer and give my scouting reports on players that we are linked with as i know a few of you guys appreciated them in January n last summer.

Heres hoping for a good end of season n hope you all keep well

His ego??? A man whos helped drag this club from midtable league one club with over the hill ****e players to a playoff pushing championship club with quality young players. Should we just sack him then because CLEARLY he is doing a terrible job. Christ man

TBF, it was Neil who got us promoted, and he wasn't even on his radar. And if Stewart had picked up an injury, we would still be in league 1.

We, to use a very technical football term, 'fanny about'.

That is we don't take a shot or get a cross in. Not having Stewart may be part of the problem, or the players are not natural goal scorers, not sure why?

The best goal imho was (Reading?). Was a quick attack from a rolled pass from Patto and a final cross bt Neil, finished by Clark?

We seems to have given up quick attacks and allow opponents to get back into their defensive shape. Then we fanny about in front of their 9 or 10 players in defensive positions.

Amad goal did come about from a quick attack... need more of them.

You think anybody was sitting there glad we didn't sign a striker? We obviously tried to sign a player Nemeth namechecked us in an interview. What my problem is is the constant **** being put on him and absolutely no praise. It is really bad we didn’t bring a forward in, its not his fault that its ****ing raining outside

the first tackle i think was 'fair enough', went in hard but got the ball but the second was pretty blatant from what i could see.

people saying we get bullied, i am unsure what the lads can do when they simply do not get decisions and get yellows for their first (not nasty) tackles yet the opposition trip and throw us all over, we seem to be running scared...i mean that eccles took out dan neil then chased amad and took him out as well yet the ref struggled to get his card out and also booked the lad who had just been fouled at least three times.

watched gelhardt and he did put himself about, jumping to put defenders off and kept himself ready to run in but those passes just did not come.

I'm getting pissed off too with all of these bed wetters coming out of the woodwork and telling me that Speakman should have signed a striker
    - as if we didn't know already
Speakman has done a fantastic job but obviously is not as clever as some on here <doh>

Even i don't want a Connor Wickham or a lanky useless ex mag now robbing Reading blind.

However we now need a free agent who would probably be an aging ex international, needing cash, we would not be willing to pay. Don't ask who, I've done my bit by giving a profile.

Definitely the problem. We seem to have slowed our play down maybe part of that is teams sussing out our play and getting back into shape quicker.
I don't want to lose our passing game but we need to work on mixing it up a bit.
Playing more direct against Rotherham didn't work though.
Im not sure what the answer is to be honest

He probably helped us get promotion not at Easter though - he was a bit cross then.

Can't say all teams, but after that goal, Coventry just parked the bus. They were happy to sit back at 1-0 and just hit us on the counter. They always had 6 players back though at all times
