The Glenn Miller recording of it was the first record to be awarded a Gold Disc. Love this version for the blokes dancing near the end.
Our dads had something in common. When I was arguing with my dad about the Rolling Stones she told me to remind him of when he and my grandad nearly came to blows when my grandad said they were rubbish that would be forgotten after the war was over and we would get back to strict tempo stuff. As accurate as my dad telling me when I set off to see the Rolling Stones in May 1964 to make the most of it as everyone would have forgotten about them in six months. A remark I reminded him of on many occasions over the next 31 years.
