Wow, Radio 4 Today programme, once a proper hard news programme, is essentially pure pro Ukrainian propaganda this morning. It’s so unbalanced it’s hard to listen to. Of course it reflects the fact that we, the U.K., are de facto at war with Russia, which I have been naively pretending to myself was not the case. More fool me.
Putin is still the (bigger) bad guy, but if I was an ordinary Russian listening to the BBC this morning I’d be thinking “well, these guys really hate us. They hate us all. Putin is right. We might as well fight on, they’ll crush us if we lose”. A representative of the Ukrainian government has just said ‘there are no good Russians’, got a tiny, ineffectual challenge from the interviewer.
Digging a big hole for ourselves here.

I find it hard to listen to any BBC news output since it became entirely run by the Tory party.
