Good to see we've got Corry tied down. After a slow start to his Sunderland career, he's certainly come into his own and is a valuable member of the team. We could certainly have done with him on Tuesday night. He'll be a major asset to the team in the Championship next season. I don't believe he would be good enough for the Premier if we were to go up, which could indicate which way the club are thinking.
It's really good news. The experience and maturity he and Danny Batth bring to this squad will continue to be invaluable. Despite his very serious injury, yet another example of how well the playing side of our club is being managed.
I am not Evans biggest fan, but once again the club is showing its belief in doing the right thing by its players, so well done SAFC..
I tend to think we are better without him now. That isnt to say he doesnt have a role to play. Overall pleased the club stand by injured players, loyalty is rare and we will soon be recognised by players as a club that back you even when recovering from a major injury.
