Well, if what Clive says about Critchley's non relationships with the players is true, surely sacking him will help?
Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. Can't see him surviving this, even taking into account his contract.
I don’t feel the loan players are playing for the manager or the club. And if Tyler Roberts deleted post is true he should be dealt with harshly - no room for bad eggs in a relegation fight. I’m not sure you could say the majority of the team weren’t trying today (for the team or the manager) but once the goal went in the crisis of confidence just came out. I don’t know what the board’s thinking will be now, but it’s a mess. Whether they have options (money wise to release NC or to appoint someone new) I’ve no idea. I’d like to see Shaun Derry brought in as one of the coaches to work with the defence and provide some heart, leadership and hardness to the dressing room and back line. This team looks soft. Something needs to be done. The stick is ****ty at both ends - so there’s nothing good to come of it - they have to make the decisions though.
Didn't know what the Tyler Roberts deleted post was, decided to search Twitter. Now know there is apparently a gay porn star called Tyler Roberts. Can't unsee what I just saw. Still don't know what the deleted post was.
Often wondered why clubs don’t have more performance linked contracts for players and management. 50% basic salary and the other 50% based on stats/results etc Paying up Critchleys full contract for being sh**e makes no business sense
In other clubs' managerial changes, I've seen it reported that the manager's contract stated that, if sacked, the manager had a duty to mitigate his loss of income i.e. if that manager gets another job, income from that job will reduce the compensation required from the previous employer. Therefore, if (a big if) we were smart enough to have such a clause in NC's contract, it might not be so expensive to sack him. Here's hoping. Whatever the board decide, I'd also go for Derry to add some backbone to our team, preferably as a coach, rather than as the manager, due to his relative lack of experience/track record.
I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest. I just wish he would leave. He's not the man for the job.
It was a reaction to this story in WLS... https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/taylor-richards-cant-get-himself-going-qpr-chief Taylor Richards is still not training fully and seems no closer to featuring for QPR. Richards, 22, has made just one league start since being signed on a season-long loan from Brighton last summer. Under the terms of the deal, Rangers are obliged to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season. Boss Neil Critchley said: “Taylor can’t get himself going at the moment, which is really unfortunate. It’s been stop-start for him. All he can do is concentrate on improving his physical condition as quickly as possible.” Richards has not made an appearance since the 2-2 draw with Reading on 14 January – and his four minutes as a substitute in that match is his only league action this year. Critchley insisted: “He loves playing football and wants to get back into training as quick as possible. “But we’ve got to make sure that, when he does, he’s not in a position where he’s going to break down, because that’s happened to him too many times this season.”
Boro were very poor, casual, lethargic and even cocky in the first half. It came across as like the game would be easy for them, on our form, i can understand why. My coaching mate at Boro said he hadn't seen them play like that for ages. I asked his opinion on our team and I knew what he was going to say. Theres no structure to the balance of the team. You see a back 4 and that's it. It's anyone's guess what position the rest are in. Apart from Martin up top as he moves around as much as a fly in a spiders web. I'm can't see anyway back for Critchley to be honest. He just uses the same players but shifts them around slightly like he's some tactical genius. Granted we have injuries but let's not pretend that Clarke Salter, Balogun, Amos, are ever going to have a consistent run in the team. Let's not pretend that the loan players even want to be here as it's now damaging their reputations (if they had one). Let's not pretend that Richards is a loss as he's only ever started 1 game (I think). This is our team, obviously dykes is missing but realistically he's probably the only regular that is.
He's gotta walk now, it's not working. It never worked Nice bloke, wrong appointment Just listen to him. Love him or hate him, Warnock would be ripping the players apart - we need a fighter now, not an apologist
Apparently there are two names in the frame to take over as manager when the inevitable happens. Both have the support of the board who seem very excited to get either one of them involved. So which would you prefer, Alan Carr or Bonnie Langford? Write to Less Ferdinand and give you reason in no more than 50 words.
I feel sorry for the bloke. Not sure anyone out there has the alchemy to turn the pigs ear that is our present team into a silk purse. The loans seem largely hopeless and Richards should be returned under the sale of goods act as he’s completely unfit for purpose.
Boro's win at Sheffield on Wednesday night took alot out of them. I watched that game and they were superb. He made 3 changes today and I'm not surprised as they ran themselves stupid on Wednesday. So maybe the fact that they had that game meant they were below par today ? Obviously still too good for us, and a win to them by any means would suffice !
