Well, pretty poor stuff really, no real quality from either side. Simons did ok, Ebiowei looked better this time than his last 2 outings but the rest was just ordinary.
Can't believe Tufan wasn't subbed off 60th minute. I don't care that he was still running around after 90 minutes. Everyone knows he's not fit enough to play more than 60.
Can't comment too much on the match itself, only saw bits and pieces of the second half, but from what I did see, Preston looked half decent, we huffed and puffed without creating a huge amount, and Tufan can still run after 60 mins as evidenced by his effort on goal. On the plus side, generally LR has sure our defensive woes up to an extent, on the negative side we seriously lack quality in the attacking third. Whether this is LR setting up to prevent a landslide of goals, or just a lack of quality going forward the jury is out. But we have improved to what will surely be a safe position to enable to the 2nd leg of the rebuild to commence come close season.
