Did you see Tetteh playing as a battering ram CF when Oscar went off at Norwich? Neither did anyone else. Clearly has ability but really don't see him in that role at all. If Connolly is fit, I think Tetteh will be on the bench.
Impossible to judge when he'd just spent 70 minutes chasing shadows in a beaten team after not starting a game for five months. He's shown enough early in the season to suggest he's wasted out wide.
Usually when I see the ball played up to him he either fails to control it and we lose possession or he falls over looking for a foul.
2-0 win tomorrow I reckon. Said result will have people going on about a play-off charge, but I think that is fairly unrealistic at this stage. We are an average championship side - and that is an improvement on last season, when we were a poor championship side - and we will probably finish mid-table this season.
Yes but the point in Al Rawdah's post was about him playing as a central striker, which he did for several games and worked the defence really hard. We actually scored 7 goals in 2 away games with him in that role. Not saying he is the answer but that was the point being made.
We are about as entertaining as a festering boil at the moment, may I advise take a book, anyway my match thread https://www.not606.com/threads/hull-city-mkm-stadium-18-2-23.405377/
Well someone has said it. Oscar cant hold the ball up, that seems a crtical skill for a CF to have. Its been obvious for a long time.
I think Óscar is okay at holding the ball up but it’s not his main attribute. He’s a poacher, not a target man.
That's true but since then I think we've seen that Oscar is not a target man who can hold the ball up or even keep possession. And I'm pretty sure we didn't buy Tetteh to play wide left.
Great lad Had many a beer with Gerry when he was in America Good foot baller and hard as **** on the pitch
Very cruel I’m very very drunk I’m too drunk to tell you some stories about Gerry but he’s a proper legend
