Maybe Marsch just decided that he didn’t want to be associated with having a part in two teams being relegated from the Premier League in the same season.
It isn't hard to see us in the same position as Leeds. It just proves that it is extremely hard to get a manager atm unless you just appoint any ole dross.
May as well offer the job for the rest of the season to Selles and then appoint a full time manager in the summer to deal with where ever we end up
Riot act; fact or fiction (PR stunt)? I just don’t believe any of this stuff which is written nowadays (yes, I know Athletic is usually pretty good).
I just find it odd that if we want to do a 6 month contract we aren’t targeting one of the traditional ‘firefighters’ like we did with Hughes. I was supportive of the Marsch appointment because I thought it made sense longer term
Lincs, I mentioned the idea of SR taking the club to the cleaners.and was taken to.task for such an idea. Maybe rightly so, but we shall see.
Because the idea that they should be deliberately trying to screw us makes absolutely zero sense. What’s their motive for blowing upwards of £250 million?
I said at the time they entered the door to be guarded about.their plans. They may have "spent" that sum but not out of their own pockets.
Well they really have only one person who funds them, so the implication is that they are screwing Dragan Solak as well as SFC. Still can’t see a motive, because there isn’t one.
I was not unhappy with the idea of Marsch coming in. Equally, I'm not heartbroken he's not now. Ralph full-fat failed with us, and Ralph lite doesn't seem to be a long term improvement. Be interested to see what someone like Rooney could do for us, just because he'd be a very different option, and I feel we need a change of direction rather than just keep making the same mistakes and losing games. We don't have a "Southampton way" , haven't done for years, so it seems strange to be looking for coaches who would keep chasing that mysterious entity.
