I don't agree with this. Stay up, and surely he deserves a longer contract. It's just a bit non-committal and I'm not sure if it sends the right message to the players. I'd rather a 2 year deal.
The end of the season makes some sense to me. Probably some clause in there that if he keeps us up he gets an extension or a bonus if he wants to walk away, if we go down then they can assess how well he was doing/fans reaction and the club/Marsch can choose to extend or walk away. Maybe he doesn’t want to commit past that, might not fancy the Championship next year if we go down
Yeah I read this, Wide midfielders are going to play a big role, I Imagine Stuey to start Games and Aribo to challenge him on that right hand side. The left hand side will probably be the more direct option of Sulemana/Edozie. He will either go for two forwards or play a 10 with JWP/Alcaraz competing.
We did this with Hughes then gave him a longer contract and look what happened . Maybe a longer contract now sends the right message to the players as you say.
Give him a 2 year deal with a break clause for both, if desired, in the case of relegation. It's just a small margins thing, and though I want the players to be committed (as they should be), these little things could count.

Don't bother. All the data referred to is trash. All comes from Wyscout, which is manually entered tripe. Means very little. The vast majority of football data is 10 years behind. For the stats haters, the problem isn't stats, it's that football isn't very good at creating or using them apart from in a few scenarios.
