I'm hoping (or perhaps not, after the Fleetwood disaster) that this match will be broadcast by ESPN for viewing on our giant 65" "donated" curved TV screen here in Florida. Helped out a neighbour, Paul Ryder, in the condo below us, in his last days back home, after he was kicked out of rehab after 180 days, and sent home with Minal in-home nursing care. Most of his stomach had been removed due to cancer, and he was not rating the food we were preparing him. On the Monday of the week he died 4 years ago I brought in a Colombian lady, Lelia, who incidentally cuts my hair now (she remembered me when I visited her nearby hair salon last December, and thought Paul was my father and gave her condolences, now Paul was 78 four years ago and I was 65!) to cut Paul's hair, trim his beard, cut his toe nails and finger nails. He looked terrible, a thin man in a dressing gown, dishevelled, but looked so much better after his "fix up". By Thursday Paul was not looking at all good and I phoned his sons living in New York to better come down, one a police officer, the other ran a Honda dealership (Paul himself a lovely white Honda Accord Coupe that some lowlife that week tried to steal the wheels off, but couldn't get by the single lock nut on each wheel, AAA fixed the car up). So we met the sons at West Palm Beach airport on Friday morning and brought them to their Dad, he died that night, at home, on oxygen, in his bed. The TV donation was a mark of gratitude for our efforts with their Dad. We constantly visited him whilst in rehab and he loved to eat Taco Bell food, milk shakes and Public deli prepared sandwiches. Now to the crux of this story Paul was born in Newcastle and moved with his family to New York aged 8 (he was 78 when he died in February 2019). The boys buried their Dad here, quickly sold Paul's lovely ground floor, renovated, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with all the furnishings for $95,000, a real bargain and drove their Dad's Honda back to New York. Paul was a truck driver, away from home too much he said, divorced and retired here in Greenacres Florida to a modest condo, non gated, this an activity clubhouse, shuffleboard, Bocci ball, lots of Italians here, and the crown jewel, a 25 yard wonderful pool, not sure if he used it too much though, as we do every morning at 7:30am, for 30 mins, when no-one else is there so we can do laps. Paul found new love here, but was caught out when the daughter of that woman saw him having dinner with another woman, a casual acquaintance, and told her mother what she had seen, which ended that relationship. So for Paul, born in Newcastle, please R's pull one out of the bag and beat Sunderland, to mark the 4 year anniversary of his death.
So Clarke-Salter has picked up ANOTHER injury and is out for the foreseeable future. Poor s*d, but when will this ever end. Dickie and Dunne for the rest of the season
Standard procedure Beth, why would we buy a player without an awful injury history, just wouldn't be us!!
How did we get Sam Field and Ilias Chair.... neither particularly injury prone. yes I know 2 out of a squad of 24 ...is nothing to write home about
Time to switch to a back three I think. Dunne, Dickie and Kakay. We did OK with the formation under Warburton. Our full backs push up and we have Field at DM to assist when required.
Balogan is in training again, Masterson is back at Gillingham. Which is why Gubbins was on the bench on Saturday
I have much concern for you, friend. Reach out here for support. People, can we put a 24/7 security watch on Tramore!
Don't worry Aussie I have the willpower to do this.... The only downside is that I'll have to follow game on mobile as still have no internet access as waiting for provider to do a bit of groundwork to unblock something in the ducting that affecting their ability to do the connection.... almost 3 weeks and counting....
It will never end Beth, we are the masters at finding sicknotes. A 10 Yr old kid bunking off school couldn't find as many sicknotes as we do. Clarke Salter 1 week, Balogun the next, Willock after that, steff after that, then Laird takes a turn, then Dickie, Dykes decides to take it up a notch and show how good he is at the game. But just as you thought he'd shown everyone how its done, up pops Amos and trumps the ****ing lot of them !
Funny how Balogun is back in training just in time for the upcoming internationals for his Country ! The cynic in me would say he's been feigning all along
I’m in a lay-by on the A127, internet is piss weak so could be either A / Move van somewhere with a decent signal or B / follow it on here or C / go to bed and don’t put myself through the stress of watching us implode again.
