I wonder if we could tempt Ange Postecoglou?

I've said it before but Nuno for me. Yes Poch would be the absolute number 1 but how realistic is it?

I think we need someone who won’t panic if / when we get relegated but will try to keep us up .

Then if we get relegated , will definitely try his best to get us back up .

Someone with a cool calm manner about them , who has the respect of all the players , staff & the fans .

Why the **** are people even mentioning Poch? Were you hoping we might sign Mane in the Summer as he used to play for us?

The only reason you get Marsh in is if SR are purely just thinking about promotion next season. But to get him in thinking hes going to keep us up is like thinking the earth is flat. Hes just been sacked by struggling leeds ffs. To even have him on the shortlist is crazy enough.

I don’t think Marsch would be right but to be fair, I also think he isn’t completely without merit.

+ Better than Jones, very low bar though.
+ He has experienced career highs at the top level as well as lows.
+ Some PL experience and has had some positive results at Leeds.
+ I feel like he would be an excellent appointment for the Championship, not based on much though.

    - Hiring a manager that a relegation rival sacked just a week before for not being good enough is not a way to inspire unity and get fans back on side.
    - I think he could improve things but I doubt he will keep us up (could say this for just about anyone though).

He does feel like an Ankersen type of appointment.

I will throw a name out there, John Herdman the current Canadian men's team coach. There was talk of him leaving to coach NZ but it never happened. I have no information but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he got the job. We do like to appoint mangers way out of left field lol

It fills my old heart with joy that the qualifications for the new manager include “not being as bad as Nathan Jones”.

Marsch? Do we even have a playing identity as a club these days? Decisions would dictate not.

Marsch has a similar style to Ralph so not sure what your point is there.

Yep, guess my point is more what on earth made them appoint NJ in the first place if this is the style of play we're now going back to.

It doesn't seem we have a set style we want to play as a club if we're lurching between different managers and their different styles.

I don’t think we have heard the last of Nathanism.

One of the live football channels is bound to hire him as a pundit for a Saints game

Marsch would be better for the players we have in the squad than Jones

I agree but don't know where I sit on this. My heart says we're done for and we've all seen the various stats on how many wins are needed to get to X number of points for the season. But then I look at the table and see the gap to 17th is only 4 points. If we win next weekend (however unlikely that may appear right now) things may look rather different.

I don’t want him, but we did the same with Hughes.
