The world of Nathan Jones is a weird and mysterious place.

I'm sat in subway with Mini Lincoln before the drive home. The atmosphere turned but nowhere near as toxic as I thought it'd be. The fans just looked deflated, like they knew it was coming. Anti Jones songs were sung but with so little time left there wasn't much in it.

A good first half completely undone by negative tactics in the second. If this doesn't underline to the board what an appalling call they made appointing Jones I don't know what will. We're down, absolutely no one will save us now, and it's totally totally deserved. Jones should be sacked just because he's ****ing ****, not because it would save us. This is 100% the fault of SR. ****s.

    This from BBC Sport

Lopetegui and Jones were appointed to their respective positions within the same week in November, but their two situations could not be more different three months later.

While former Real Madrid manager Lopetegui has more than doubled Wolves' points tally after seven Premier League games in charge, rock-bottom Southampton have now lost seven of eight under Jones.

We are absolutely relegated now, I cannot see a way back from this.

It’s a shame in a way because Sulemana and Alcaraz look like we have finally found the spark we have needed for so long and no doubt will be off in the Summer.

OMG if he said that, he really needs to go now.

You are one up at home, they lose a player with an hour left and you are looking that gift horse in the mouth.

I don’t think AMN was bad as a CB but once they went down to 10 men Napoleon should have moved AMN into midfield and pressed the **** out of Wolves, instead of giving them all the time and space they needed to control the ball and build attacks.

    Jesus wept.

"We were everything I wanted us to be". Heavens.

The great thing about today is that I only saw half an hour of the game and I'm off now to dance the night away.

Take your happiness where you can find it.

In other words, he's a coward. Handed an incredible opportunity to win, and all that runs through his mind is how bad it would be if they lost.

Gee.. if only we had an extra player and someone who could MANAGE the situation.

No it shouldn’t be like that Nathan, maybe take a good long think on the way back to Wales as to why that happened.

I knew he was weird, I didn’t realise he was a p***y, what manager gets scared at getting an advantage?!

Fair point NJ, I hadn’t thought of it like that.

I actually yelled "****ing coward" in his direction as I was leaving after their 2nd goal. If Ankersen can't see how **** he is he can join Jones in ****ing off.

I don’t remember Brendan Rogers coming out with things like that when we lost Bertrand to a red card…

His comments on them going to 10 men are just more evidence of his insecurity and impostor syndrome

So the ‘positive’ today is also my biggest frustration.

Sulemana and Alcaraz look like we have finally found the spark we have been missing for so long…. And no doubt they will be gone in the summer because we are going down.

Almost like salt in the wound.

Chilworth village hall - those glittering lights of the high life! Swing Jive evening. The "Jive" part of that explanation is important, as I could easily be misunderstood.

Sack Jones now and get a competent manager and I still think we have a shot. Paul is a read handful and Sulemana is seriously rapid as well as talented. But Jones HAS to go NOW to give us a chance.
