Funnily enough, I've been thinking the same. I've also got a stupid feeling that Chris Martin is going to be exactly the player that someone like Armstrong can learn a lot from. He's the type of big ugly hold up player we need against Millwall. Anyway, that's my blind and unjustified hope quota for the year done.
To put it mildly, he isn't the most charismatic...but if the team delivers results on the pitch I really don't care. Could mean things quickly turn against him though if results don't go his way, and he doesn't have a big personality to fall back on when pressure builds.
He is totally out of his depth with QPR Dave. He came out after the Fleetwood match saying he knew players weren't up for it on the Thursday, but then played them anyway. Continually plays the same players/formation and tactics knowing full well we have won one game in 15. Subs are a joke. It shouldn't turn this quickly on a manager and I feel sorry for him, but he is a division 1 manager at best. Yes he did well 1st season with Blackpool in championship, but Holloway also did well with them in Premier league but was ultimately found out he is not a Premier league manager
As luck would have it I will be on a plane from Tenerife so won't have to listen to the dreary commentary
I’ve now listened to Lee Hoos, SLF and NC within 24 hours. It’s just managing expectation without any evidence that things are going to improve. There is no evidence of a strategy to improve or any clear vision as to what we want to achieve. Thoroughly demoralising stuff. Perhaps I’m just being unrealistic and should expect mid table championship football being our pinnacle moving forward. And they say that it’s the hope that kills…
The problem trying to maintain mid-table mediocrity is when you have a bad season you'll go down. We'd improved from finishing in the bottom half to actually threatening the play-offs but that ship looks like it's sailed and we're back to where we were before Warburton had his purple patch. The past few months have resembled Paul Hart's short spell and it's a difficult spiral to break. Let's hope Martin has his shooting boots on and Crutchley provides some inspiration...
Not sure I even want an answer to this question anymore.....but...... Any chance of a stream today ya reckon?
A lot of the sites are still down...there's some out there but the streams have been unreliable lately...
It will be interesting to see how Lowe and Armstrong link up. Might be the start of something big. How can Willock have gone from our absolute best player to a bench warmer?
