Absolutely. My comment was very much tongue in cheek.

Quick word on the queues getting into the ground. We ended up getting there a lot later than normal at the queues at the East stand were a joke - apparently they ended up just opening the exit doors and letting folk in.

Is that a normal chain of events (the queues?) and are will still in the situation where people can use any turnstile? My gut instinct was that people were just going through the closest turnstile and it would have been quieter round the West Stand. What's people's thoughts on that? Usually we are in 30 mins before ko so it's not an issue, but it was an absolute mess last night - people queuing 5 wide to get through 1 turnstile, then pushing and shoving kids out the way. Stewarts stood and watched as normal

I sit in the East stand, and can normally use any of the entrances along there to get in, can't speak for other areas. I always try to get in early mind....I hate the queues.

You can use any gate to get in, we often use the North Stand gates to get into our east stand seats. As for last night we were a little late and they were just saying push the turnstile don’t use your ticket. They were obviously trying to get people in quickly.

Mate I’m a pro singer. A Saturday night is my bread and butter. I don’t leave early. Not ever. Could be playing in York and I’ll have my gear in the van wherever I’m parked and get in a drive straight to the venue. I’ve dropped gear off before a match too, just to make sure. If you get any **** for it, tell them to go f*ck themselves

still some moans after a game like that??

first we feckin know about the striker situation, it is what it is and despite the club efforts it never happened and i applaud them for sticking to the plan.

dan neil, i was calling for him to have a break from the team earlier in the season yet he stood up and improved and possibly been one of our better, more consistent performers, last night was a bad game from him and i guess it wont be his last but he will not be the only footballer who has 'off games'.

i certainly think promotion is gone now (if it was ever on) but i am still pleased with how this squad has performed and if we are honest, promotion was never really on anyones mind at the start...yes i agree, if the chance came we should go for it, accept the benefits and build further...but maybe being in this league for a couple of seasons growth is not a bad option after our past few years, people need to remember where we have been and some of the football along the way.

In the past I could understand people walking out early after another embarrassing humping. But this team has enough credit in the bank to earn themselves the privilege of every fan stopping till the end. Even if we were losing 6-0 with 10 mins to go, it'd still be worth stopping. You might miss a cracking consolation goal.

Neil definitely isn’t weak as piss and wasn’t weak as piss last night.

This was a monumental step up in opposition for the kid, playing alongside Michut who has hardly had any game time too.

Really don’t know what you expect, it seems that some fans forget just what level we are playing at, where we were 8 months ago and also where we are in the team / player development.

Every one of those players done the team proud.

Must have been at least 15,000 walked out when their 3rd goal went in. They all missed a cracking 2nd goal for us, and all credit to the fans who did stay for getting behind the lads right to the end.

I feel so proud to be a sunderland fan today despite the defeat. Never felt that way after losing, our football was good and our team spirit was amazing. We can only get better with such a young team.

You can use any turnstile to get into the ground. I'm in the South East corner but could go in the North East turnstiles if i wanted to. Never understood it tbf.

Just a thing on opening the exit gates for entry to the stadium - if attending that game gets season card holders a loyalty point then they probably won't get it if the card wasn't scanned. They had a situation a few years ago where people were buying papa John's tickets for a few quid just for the point but not using them so they brought I a rule saying the ticket had to be actually scanned by the electronic turnstile.

In the past it would have been a thumping after going behind after 8 mins with dropping of heads from older more experienced players. Not these lads though, kept their belief , played their game and got on with it. So proud of them

I don’t think this mass exodus used to be a thing and built up over time when we were stinking out the premiership with overpaid and underperforming players. Apathy set in and people are creatures of habit. Once they find they can get away from the ground without waiting for trains, sitting in queues of traffic etc they find that it’s much more palatable than getting tanked again then sitting in traffic trying to get home.
I’ve never ever left a game early in my life and I can’t get my head around people who do but once the habit is there it’s difficult to get people to break it

I think the East Stand gets used because it is the first set of turnstiles people see. My assumption is that West Stand, and the West corners are quieter in the lead up to KO - be good to get perspective from someone on that.
As the crowds increase it's getting worse and it was an absolute mess last night

Exactly. We score 2 goals against a decent prem side and someone's still harping on about not having a centre forward. It was the goals conceded that was the problem, not our inability to score. As for the comment about Dan Neil - wtf? He really deserves a slating after this seasons' performances doesn't he!!!! I'm the same as the majority on here - absolutely proud of the team and the club.

Should look the cards down to the turnstiles stated on the card imo. Put it on Davisons to do list.
