At last we're not going to cause the old ticker concerns by being overly exciting on the pitch! Good luck with it all mate.
At the end of hi stenure, yet Ralph was our longest serving manager for decades. Jones is just beginning with an end already in sight.
Oh I've been at acceptance before Jones came in, I wavered a bit because everyone was going gung-ho towards him but I think I'm pretty much where SR are in relation to it all. Bring on Wolves and 3 points for the mighty Saints!
Here is my full comment: Nobody knows exactly what he has said to his players, to staff, just a load of hearsay really. I'm a fan and I'm not particularly offended by anything he said, maybe some people are a bit too sensitive? Didn't Ralph supposedly rub people up the wrong way too and players were against him towards the end? My point was that we don't know what is said behind the scenes by Jones or Ralph or any of our previous managers, how do we know Ralph lost the dressing room, we can speculate but we can't know. The same applies to Jones, speculate all you want about what he has done in training, players training away from main group, reasons for players in B-team but we will probably never know.
Much better comments in his presser. Probably forced and definitely belated but he’s fronting up and I give him credit for that.
well it’s a very low bar that has been set. I’d say it was better but by no means suggesting he’s not horrifically out of his depth
I turned it off as soon as he said "Actually, I didn't say that, I said the exact opposite of that" when asked about his comments on outside interference. You know, those comments that he actually said that were the exact opposite of what he's just said! If that makes sense.
Don't really give a toss about his presser. Focussing on his personality, and how he comes across, is a pointless distraction. He should be judged solely on what happens on the pitch, imo.
What’s happened on the pitch or rather what hasn’t since he’s been here strongly suggests he hasn’t a *ucking clue and should be binned.
Largely agree (and what is happening on the pitch should be good enough reason to have been shot of him already), but he's also the public face of the club, so his personality and how he comes across does have some bearing.
What is happening on the pitch isn’t great, granted. If it doesn’t improve then his position will become untenable. What’s happening off the pitch doesn’t reflect well on anyone imo, and if the animosity being expressed towards Jones on social media is reflected by the atmosphere in the ground, everyone loses. Not remotely bothered if everyone hates us, I’ve had enough of being liked by other clubs fans because we’re no threat to anyone. No one likes Luton either btw, and no one ever did.
