Intrigued as to who (or whatever) it is where your support lies. Surely the club/team are a greater sum that a single individual! A number of new managers (here i.e. St Mary's & Dell) have been seen ( by some 'supporteres') as underwhelming initially ~ Mcmeany, Merrington, Adkins, Potty chino, Jones (David), Pardew, to name just a few who were moaned about vociferously in their early days too..... Maybe SUPPORT is a longer term (!) State of Affairs than a "knee-jerk feeling of a handful of games..... don't yer think
Got my ticket, due to various commitments, my first home game since Leeds. Funny we went 0-2 down and there were chants from our own fans of 'your getting sacked in the morning ' towards Ralph. 9 home premier league games later this feels much worse. But This is a massive game and the team really need that 12th man In hope more than expectation- the saints go marching in
I'll give the players my support on Saturday as it would be totally counter productive to create a toxic atmosphere before the game has even kicked off. But if things start to go pear shaped then things will turn ugly. TBH I wouldn't be entirely surprised if we won now.
I think that the fans will be supportive, right up to the announcement of the team, with JWP in goal, and Bazunu up front on his own. Big Paul will be used as a central defender.
I'm going to assume we're going to go back to a 3-5-2/3-4-3 formation. I would go: Baz ABK DCC Salisu KWP (assuming he's fit) Lavia JWP Perraud Sulemana Paul Edozie
I like the look of that. But there's only 4 at the back? Careful, or he'll be pandering to you, and calling you out soon @lewebster
I have forbidden my son from talking about Saints....goes for you lot too. Oh, just seen the flaw in that Ok. You can talk a bit about Saints, but also include pages of puns and reminiscences about the past when we won games
Not that I expect it to happen, but it will be really awkward for Jones if we do win. He must know it would be bizarre to celebrate or even approach the crowd. It wouldn;t surprise me if his reaction is more or less the same whether we win or lose - embrace a few players then head straight down the tunnel
When we win, he'll run over to the Wolves fans, flicking the v's with both hands, before dropping his trousers and mooning at them. Or he may just shake hands and disappear down the tunnel
That's a three at the back formation which I could accept. Possibly the only one I could accept. Our best three CBs. Tick. Attacking width on both sides, to ensure that KWP and Perrard aren't isolated. Tick.
