Andoni Iraola seems to be someone the club like and want, but after his 2-0 win last night he has got his basically 2nd div team up to Champions League places on a shoestring budget. The football is Bielsaball with a defensive tweak, but will he be allowed to leave, would he want it? The more I read about this guy the more I hope he can be attracted to a move.
We need a manager that know how to set up a defence, a defensive tweak won’t cut it.

That's their whole business model - get idiots on to say ridiculous things and get irate supporters ringing up to vent = ratings.

Literally, anyone with half a brain........ is over qualified to be a Talksport pundit.
What time are you on <whistle>.....<laugh>

OK...Arne Slot. Sounds the favourite tonight.

The link is to an article with a little insight in how he plays...

To sum up he likes 4-2-3-1 with a high press. He likes his wingers to play more centrally which allow the full backs to provide the width. The central midfield comprises of a defensive double pivot with the other allowed a little more freedom. That floods the central section of the pitch where the players form little diamond shapes (almost like a net) which gives lots of options for vertical passes in the centre of the field.

Interesting stuff. :bandit:

Sounds good.

The guy obviously knows what he's doing.

Occasionally he likes to play 4-2-2-2.

The major problem with his system is that its left exposed when the opposition beat the press because its very high. Its also susceptible to giving away possession too cheaply because the passes have to be very accurate in the tight central spaces. He also likes to focus attacks on the left, especially when Sinisterra played under him.

It's a good article. Hope we get him.
