according to sky.... this relates to exactly what was reported in Germany. (the only place in Europe bothered to or not frightened to investigate as journalists) managers and players paid under the table to fake the accounts. we all recall I'm sure guardiola losing his head when directly asked about this? finally they are charged with breaching Premier league rules by systematically not cooperating with investigations since 2018. imo they are just shy of juventus level cheating and match fixing. relegation should be the outcome but they will get a 50k fine at most.
Serves FSG right if there's less interest in the club, and at a lower sale price, because they've done sweet fa as a foreseeable crisis engulfs the scene.
they will go crawling to red bird who have no actual interest in Liverpool but want fsg. they'll sell another big chunk of fsg off to them and we will be left fending for ourselves
Yeah, there's talk of RedBird throwing a $1bn at FSB this time for a bigger stake (20% ?), but as we never saw a red cent of their previous $500m investment in FSG I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that particular cavalry to come to the rescue anytime soon.
There'll be even less surprise when they get off with a paltry fine after various client journos they have in their pocket like Martin Samuel have launched a campaign to support them.
Nothing will come from it. Nothing. They will employ their very expensive lawyers again and the authorities will **** themselves again. However, if found guilty of anything, surely they're have to look at 2018 to the current day too? At the very least, 2009-2018 have them the foundation for the more recent seasons. Oh, and I don't give a **** of it meant Man Utd got more titles
Yep, the CAS will be drawing up their price for another bung right now. £100k fine and a suspended 5-point penalty. Money talks, rules walk.
apparently nobody can nail them yet on fake sponsorship as its outside the remit if it's passed originally as fot and proper then it's fair game. City changed after uefa caught them out. they just ploughed in fake sponsorships. however... a cursory look at thier declared wages, including haalands tells a clear story something is not right. no player ever wants to go to Barca or real where wages are higher yet they declare bang average wages.
imo the revenue should be involved for avoidance of tax and individual players should be arrested. there's money going under the table l. the Spanish put Messi and Ronaldo in court ffs
According to the reports, no appeal. Can one or both league where we came second be withdrawn from them.??. https://twitter.com/martynziegler?r...ws/liverpool-transfer-news-live-city-26164402
as far as I am aware when juventus were found guilty of match rigging the titles were voided and they were released to division c or something. nobody was awarded them as half the league were probably at it.
the best we can hope for is city deduced 20 points this season, handing title to arsenal who will then forever get an unfair asteria beside their name. the reality is they'd put everything into winning the cl and qualify that way. you'd hope that any punishment would be genuine as its a grand larceny over multiple years. but where's the blocking of Chelsea antics???? Where's the blocking of newcastle antics? (already starting)
just to note 583million spend by Chelsea not backed by anything newcastle revenue of absolute max 200mil, next spend 180mil.
Tell you what though, I will be really livid if they get a points deduction this year when it's been going on for more than a decade and it's been known.
