Well If you look into his chat history it's suspicious as hell, wouldn't surprise me if it's someone who knows him well, has been said NJ just keep a eye on social media also.
Yeah, the user only joined at the start of January and claims to have lived in Luton for a long time which is why they know loads about them/the town, as well as Jones. Oh and they’ve only ever posted to defend NJ… I believe Wally Downes (asst to Pardew) was caught on SW back in the day. Gave it away by talking about his age when watching Maradona play at Fulham, in one of the off-topic threads. And the IP address tracked back to Staplewood. Downes and Pardew were both of the same age at the time but I think there were other bits that pointed at Downes. Maybe someone else will remember it clearer. I may have misremembered the above but I’m pretty certain that’s how it went down. People at clubs absolutely do read message boards + I imagine a few get drawn in enough to comment now and then.
It doesn't surprise me at all, I'm pretty sure you or someone else made a comment about NJ being proper insecure and this kinda thing doesn't help him. It's clear as day now that NJ is absolutely the wrong manager for Saints... He needs a thicker skin and to absolutely focus on managing a team going forward and stick to his ethos and principles. Bizarre though that club professionals would use Social media and forums.
The results may be comparable but I'm fairly sure Thomas Frank hadn't provoked the sort of reaction from the Brentford fans and the media that Jones has from Saints fans and the media.
I see Lucien Favre is out of work atm, Maybe a little ambitious.., crazier things have happened if we decide to get rid of Jones tomorrow.
Can anyone think of another example like this? Struggling to remember a manager so publicly and widely derided for his results and comments in such a short space of time. I mean Wrighty, Adam, social media seem to be saying the same awful things. 100% of the fanbase all seem to think he's cooked.
It's strange though, because the only constant in the squad across all of those managers is JWP. Maybe he's the problem? Blue ink.
The funniest example of this, by a considerable distance, was NBA general manager Bryan Colangelo getting caught with a bunch of Twitter sock puppets. Among other things, the accounts bashed some of his players, leaked information and...got into heated discussions about the height of his shirt collars (Colangelo loves him some big shirt collars). https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/...-twitter-joel-embiid-anonymous-markelle-fultz Colangelo is basketball royalty; his father was a longtime NBA executive, and Bryan a two-time winner of the Executive of the Year award. He got fired and hasn't held a team position since.
Calling the players in for extra training as punishment but not turning up yourself? Yet more stalwart leadership.
The plot thickens: all of the posts from the mysterious SaintsWeb account have been deleted by the user by 7am this morning… One of the deleted posts blamed the fans for not getting behind NJ being the cause of his downfall and said you’ll be happy now.
Yep, no way that is NJ himself, although I suspect he is narcissistic enough to do so, I guess. There were 2 or 3 random, new accounts over on SWF when NJ become manager, I thought.
It posted during the match against Everton so that rules him out directly. Obviously leaves the possibility of it being family wide open, though. It’ll be a brother-in-law or similar.
Yeah, Brother in Law was my guess too. It must be difficult, as they have more of an unconditional role in this, whereas even they must be thinking he must leave. And then factor in compensation, for him coming from Luton no way will he walk away from that, just hope it isnt going to cost many millions to remove him. Personally, I think they may go with Selles until further notice, which may end up till end of the season. Im not sure id be happy with that, and dont want to say ‘at least it cant get any worse’, which many said when it was clear poor Ralph had to go.
