Just because it isn't broke, doesn't mean it can't be made better

I think that's fair and yeah had the right bid come in from Besiktas he would have gone. I don't know why, but I really want him to succeed.

I think that's about right, certainly on the winger and #10 part. He plays every week because we've never had a full complement of attacking players to choose from. If and when that eventually happens, he won't be claiming a spot on the wing for much longer. That said, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him move back to central midfield alongside Seri with Doc dropped to the bench. I think he's better than Doc in the middle.

Koren wasn’t a boo boy, Tufan is.

Unfortunately city fans always need a player to get on the back of.

"Decent" is an interesting adjective to use. I don't think I'd be making line up decisions on a one off fixture but rather judging his performances over the season. I didn't think he stood out particularly against QPR.

I’d say slater is slightly better technically than doc but doc is much more effective and compliments seri better. Seri and Slater is way too lightweight, as it was under Shota earlier in the season.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if and when we're in a position to choose between them.

That should come in the summer. We have a lot of good pieces in the middle but we are missing a top end championship box to box kind of midfielder. Need a Livermore or Meyler type to round off the midfield IMO

Yeh decent, not poor, not great, not even average, decent. Enough not to be picked on in my opinion and valuable to the team, even grabbed an assist of sorts. I don't think you get to make line up decisions, Rosie stuck with him after the QPR game.

What an absurd driveby, it's a discussion board. None of us make the line up decisions but we're entitled to discuss and debate them. What "assist of sorts" did he grab? Slater made that goal. If you're talking the fortuitous own goal against QPR that was more luck than intent.

Rosie stuck with him because we won so comprehensively so why rock the boat. I'm sure both he and Elder will be out of the side for Stoke.

He may get dropped but I would hope it's because one of the returning players are ready and its not for someone who has been on our bench the last couple of weeks. Even at that I would prefer either one of Slater/Doch to be benched and to keep Tufan on the pitch. The balance between Def/Att is a difficult one and perhaps Im wrong and we would suffer but I see in Tufan his obvious ability on the ball but also intelligent subtle movements in to spaces that create dangerous areas for others to move in to so even when not directly involved in an attack he is crucial, I don't see that so much in others.

It's alright yeah, it averages out at an impact once every three games over a 45 game season (he didn't join until after our first game that season), but much like Tufan I'd have expected more within games in terms of simple stuff.

Whisper it quietly, but Tufan's doing the ugly stuff too. And maybe isn't showboating as much but he caused the havoc for the qpr second and set Reags up to rattle the post on Saturday.

Some people just love to be right and you won't convince them otherwise.
    Even when you're right. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Maybe we want a Turkish player to succeed for Acun sake, but so far his dream of having some top players from his home country are not fitting into English football.

In the build-up to the penalty, Christie was in lengthy discussion with referee David Webb, and revealed what was occurring.

"I was just trying to waste some time to be honest," Christie told Hull Live when asked what was the topic of conversation.

"To get in Callum's head a bit, sometimes, the longer they stand there it gets a bit nerve-wracking.

"I said to Callum that 'you're going to miss, do us a favour' and I said to Ozy (Ozan) that he was going to miss as well. I just had a feeling.

"Matty came up clutch and made the save and we grew in confidence from there.

"From half-time, we probably should have been up but we fought - each and every one of us put in a performance.

"As a team, we need to do better in terms of that. Whether you call it the ****housery, we don't do it enough and we should do it more.

"You go to Sheffield United the other week and they did it to us all game, and I think that's why they came out on top, they've got an experienced bunch.

"We are lacking, maybe, in that experience, and we need to add that side to our game, definitely. We need to slow the game down, take their momentum away.

"Credit to all the boys, they were fantastic throughout, the lads that came on did their job, we kept them relatively quiet because they've got very some good players."

Isn't that a bit generous on both fronts though? For the QPR own goal, we really should have been scoring from that position and we almost failed to because of Tufan's pass going behind Oscar, we ended up being a bit lucky that it went in. And the Slater one on Saturday was a pretty poor ball from Tufan, again behind everyone but only half-cleared and Slater did well to pick up the pieces and turn it into a chance.

I don't want to slate Tufan, I do honestly like him, but I think people are trying a bit too hard to make out he's under-rated or under-played, when he's actually been very quiet recently. We're told he's one of the best technical players, but the highlights people are pointing to are times where he messed up his execution and others have made it work.
