It's such a weird thing, and probably 90% down to my own ignorance. I always hated Mowbray as a manager, especially at WBA and Boro. I laughed when we beat his teams, particularly when he came out with those ridiculous comments about finishing higher than us when Keane was manager................but..................I love the bloke. Maybe he's mellowed over time, but he's a totally different manager to the one I thought we were getting, The football we play, his demeanour on the touchline and post game. He looks grateful to be here, but with some steel in his approach. I get strong Bobby Robson vibes from him

Considering the injuries he's had to deal with and the number of young players he's brought through, that's an incredible achievement. He's shown his tactical flexibility as well, winning games even when both his number nines were injured, and you can understand why Kompany would want to emulate him.
