Arrogant fella isn’t he. He has given enough rope to hang himself and he seems too out of control emotionally. I was happy to give him a chance but there has been no real improvement in the team.

I highly doubt they'll wait much longer after having spent the best part of £135 million in the last 7 months.

Agreed. Ankersen has pulled the trigger on a manager after 3/4 months before and he’ll be under far more pressure to do so here (given Solak’s funding outlay and fan sentiment) than he ever was at Brentford.

The clock is ticking and I’m slightly relieved that Jones put his foot in his mouth with yet more moronic comments, because he’ll have just accelerated the endgame. Thank goodness.

Yes, Jones is practically putting the sack over his head and firing the gun. Ankersen then needs to clean up the mess.

“That was strange. What is he talking about pandering to people and throwing people under the bus? You’re managing a premier league club, get on with it and do the job”

EDIT - slightly paraphrased from memory, but pretty much this.

Lineker: What did you make of Nathan Jones’ comments, Ian? A bit strange weren’t they really?

Wright: Yeah, they were strange because it’s his job to do the job. What are you talking about with you’re pandering to people? You don’t pander to people. This is the Premier League, you’ve come in here and you’re not going to get many opportunities at it. So don’t come and start throwing people under the bus, saying it’s their fault that you haven’t done what you’ve done before. Get it done.

It’s interesting with pundits they will usually defend failing managers outside the big 6 to the hilt, but the one thing that unanimously pisses them off is a manager ripping his own players or alluding to it.

Remember them giving Ralph stick for going after McCarthy when Brighton put that last minute goal past us last year. The one where McCarthy concealed being injured from the management team and was unable to make a save, when they could have brought on Harry Lewis. (Ralph was in the right on that one as well imo).

It's quite fortunate that he's so incredibly arrogant. If he had even a hint of humility, we'd likely be stuck with him. His media comments are so ridiculous however that I wouldn't be surprised if he is one match from the sack...or less. Having ownership spend as they did, and then blaming everyone but yourself for failing to produce anything of value, is unlikely to endear himself to Ankersen and Solak.

I said post WC after his first game in charge I was pissed because it was the same players, in the same formation, playing the same way, making the same mistakes and getting the same ****ty results we had seen under Ralph. At the time people rightly said it was too soon to judge but my gut feeling was that he had come into the club and done sweet FA. Watching us v Brentford it looks like he has actually done more harm than good.

My concern was that Ted Lasso walked into the dressing room on day 1. No respect, no recognition, sniggering behind his back, no belief. I think thats exactly what we've had. Mr nice guy asking everyone else what he should be doing because he has no idea how to be anything other than a lower league manager with no money and a squad of scrappy players with something to prove. We are not a million miles away from that but our recruits almost certianly think different.

Bring back Ralph and make everyone who didn't play for him either apologise or **** OFF.

Thinking about it overnight, surely if he’s throwing a coach under the bus, it would be Selles or Sparkes. They have the links to RH and weren’t his choice. If this is the case, he’s admitting that he’s not actually done the job he’s employed for for the last 3 months.

If he’s throwing any of the rest of the coaches under the bus, they were all his pick and would rightly be very pissed off and would alienate them all instantly. This would isolate him further and who else would he talk to from the second minute onwards as he watched his “plan” unfold while biting his nails.

He’s already thrown the fans under the bus, that speaks for itself and has rightly convinced 99.9% of the fans who were prepared to give him a go that he’s absolute bobbins.

He’s clearly started throwing players under the bus; if he’s alluding to the players who went to see him a few games ago, surely that would only be senior players (assuming it was true) and this would have to include JWP. Once you’ve done that to your captain, surely it’s a matter of hours you’re still in your job.

With the Fans Forum happening, can only assume as part of that process, Semmens, Ankerson and Solak would talk about what might be mentioned, etc…. In this case, that’s gonna be an entertaining call.

Maybe they’re waiting for Tuesday night, having decided to now include NJ to really gauge the fans reaction? <laugh>
