I think we now have the squad to get out of the relegation places but not confident we have the coach to lead them there. 3 points from a possible 18 so far. How long do the club give him but probably more importantly how long will the fans? We need at least 6 points out of the next 4 games and really don’t want to be losing to Wolves and Leeds as they are in the relegation battle with us.
Everyone: “why don’t you play a back 4? We concede less when we play with 4” Jones: “It’s not the formation, it’s individual errors that lead to us conceding” Players: “Can’t we ditch the back 3? We tend to make more individual errors than when we play with a back 4.” Jones: “It’s not the formation, it’s individual errors. I like a back 3.”
"The reason he played is because he is important" ... yeah, that important you're happy to stick him on the bench behind ****ing Lyanco and Janny B
Regarding the loss of a talented academy player to Chelsea all Jones could say in the press conferences pt2 was "He's not my player he is an academy player.".
And that sums him up. No interest n the academy at all. Surprised he even knew such a transfer happened.
I just checked on the OS quickly and he did indeed say that. He made some other comments about wishing JJM the best in the future and not to question his professionalism, alongside saying we always want to bring young players along but JJM wasn't ready. And he wasn't my player anyway, he was an academy boy.
We all knew away fans couldn’t stand this bloke, but to have your own fans feel the same is not good, especially this early on. The situation with the likes of DCC is up to Jones, but you live by the sword and you die by the sword.
So with DCC, what do we think the problem is? Not enough aggression? To me DCC appears to be the most composed and calm CB we have.
I sort of admire your dedication to the cause, Archers. Can only hope you’re right, that all evidence to the contrary is wrong, and that he’s somehow actually good.
