If this is true then he could have avoided the destruction of his career by giving in to the GFs father’s so called “blackmail”. Of course blackmailers don’t tend to go away but that’s a risk he could have taken. His career would have been worth several tens of millions.

The whole thing is just weird and unpleasant. Can’t remember what the hell I read yesterday. Think that was the general gist of it mind. That said I had a couple of beers so **** knows. What is clear is he’s obviously a horrible twat.

There no suggestion at all of blackmail, no idea where that's come from.

She sent her friends clips and pics of what he was doing, her friend created an Instagram account and posted them without her knowledge, she's obviously become embroiled in it and he's been charged.

They've reconciled their obviously toxic and aggressive relationship and she's subsequently withdrawn her cooperation.

Police have now got nothing to prosecute with.

United, however, have grounds for bringing them into disrepute I'd say. Terminate his contract on that basis and he can go and play somewhere else, taking his bird and her family with him.

    Scrotes.

goodness knows that many of our “heroes” on the field are horrible people off it. We all know at least one other such United player.

The club is in a very tricky situation.

UK law indicates that one is deemed innocent until proven guilty. So legally he is innocent. None of the nonsense that I’ve heard today that because his case wasn’t tried in court he can’t be called legally innocent. (What about all these malicious complaints against individuals that are turned down by the police or CPS and do not reach court? Are the defendants still likely to be guilty?)

Yet there are stuff in the public domain, recordings etc that have not been disputed. So we all have an idea of the likelihood of the original complaints (now withdrawn) being true. We all have an idea of the type of person we are dealing with. What if he expresses deep remorse and undertake to change his attitude and behaviour? Does the club give him a chance?

Not a chance mate (and nor should there be).

Cut through it all, the video is damning.

Partey's abuse could be equally as bad or worse, but no video so no one cares.

Not a single person who's banging on about Greenwood has demonstrated the same amount of vitriol towards him and he's been playing for two months!! They should all be seen as the same.

Are you not just a little curious as to what the content/context of the "new material" the police have received that contributed to the dropping of all charges is?

I did notice you post this before. I don't know what to make of it and like you've said before, it will never come to light so no point dwelling on it.

It might have to come to light.

For two reasons, one might that it completely exonerates him. Unlikely, but if it does he'd want this public knowledge.

Another is that it seems how implicates someone else in something (**** knows what though tbh).

It's like they drop a little nugget, but aren't telling anyone. They should be more transparent.

If it comes to light then it would have to be either him, her or United's own investigation that does so?

Possibly, but it does seem a little odd that the CPS can say along the lines of there is significant new evidence and/or information but we're not telling!

    Tell us ffs.

Skysports reporting that someone linked to Qatari royal family will be bidding for the club by the end of the week.

That also happens to be the deadline for submitting interest I think.

Good management from ETH to have Rashford pulled from the Euro squad. Southgate has the luxury of being able to pick and choose from any number of strikers to play for the national side, we don't. One injury to him and our season would be derailed.

Scott McTominay showing for Scotland that if United need a tall gangly player to hang around up front he could probably play the Weghorst role waaaaaaaaay better than Weghorst himself.

    And actually score some goals.

In addition, £206.2m has been taken from a rolling credit facility, with another £227.7m owed in outstanding transfer fees. The club did have £31m in cash or equivalent, but the overall sum remains just short of £1bn.

I’ve raised concerns here on how much the club wastes over these several seasons and often surprised when others suggest that they don’t care as it isn’t their money.

But the reality is that every single supporter should absolutely care because one day we will look around and the giant club will be no more due to fkin horrible cash management, horrendous wage bill, wasteful dealings in transfer market, and owners that are fully exploiting the club as a vehicle for access to even more debt.

    Just fkin horrible!

We can't just not compete in the transfer market because we're in debt.

Admittedly, some big clangers in the market, but the only reason 'the club' has any debt is because the Glazers have ****ing raped it for every penny.

    Not because of failed transfers.

It is all too easy to simply suggest that the money all went into Glazers coffers. The problem is a sum of all parts but our transfer strategy has been abysmal and certainly has every part to play in the hole of debt. We operated without a plan and spent over £1bn in the last decade with absolutely nothing to show for it. It ended up costing us even more because of our overall poor performances in failing to consistently qualify and play in Champions League which produces the most revenue.

We also handed out contracts like every day was Christmas. Tony Martial is on £250k per week ffs! We also paid the most salary in the league until this season when Chelsea took over the madness.

If we get new owners that actually know how to manage a club and be accountable to their shareholders, we most likely won’t be spending as much as we have in the past decade.
