Well that was a misadventure. Perhaps I'll learn from it.

In a nutshell, I objected to Reams demonising TS and wanting somebody to beat him up in a dark alley.
I cited the Holocaust as the ultimate consequence when people accept the practice of dehumanising a person so that person can be hated and hurt with a clear conscience, because they "deserve it".
Inevitably, I was then attacked for "insulting holocaust victims" by several members, led by IA.
DickPlumb said he would not post on ITTV again unless I was banned. So I quit.

I've learned my lesson now and I won't be going back.
I know I've said that before
All my uploaded stats pages have been permanently deleted from the image hosts and I deleted the forum I was working on.
The stats tables on this forum are not affected, as they are directly uploaded from my PC, not posted using an image host.

I used to enjoy my time on ITTV years ago, but sadly it is now dominated by intolerance, bullying and hatred.
Criticism and dissenting views are not tolerated. And threatening violence against hated individuals is not a problem.

Dickplumb has now sent me a private message on this forum, which I am not going to read.

About 24 hours ago he sent me a private message on ITTV saying he wanted nothing more to do with me.
Strange behaviour now then, following me to this forum after I left the one he now posts on.
Hardly wanting nothing more to do with me, is it.

If he posts any public message to me here I will not respond to it.
That was what he said he wanted yesterday.

Yes, I'm afraid IA is a wind up merchant and a hate-monger.
A few years back he made up blatant lies about things he said I posted in the past, then when I asked him to produce those posts he did not (because they didn't exist) and he just repeated his lies. In the early days I would sometimes apologise to him after we had a nasty spat, but he would just use my apology to demean me even further. He can't be reasoned with or argued with on a civilised level. There's no depth he won't stoop to in order to slur people he hates.

When I left ITTV the time before last I said I was toxic on that forum. And I was right.
I know sometimes I say controversial things. But instead of grown up debate and fair criticism all I get is witch-hunted by IA and several others.
It's better for that forum if I'm not on it.
They have a more peaceful life and so do I.
If members there don't want to (or are too scared to) call it out when people associated with the Club are threatened, that is on them.

 

To a woman, the apologists ALL ignore the filth that comes out of the wrecksum steward's mouth.
Ivor continually dishes out veiled threats, continually he has to delete messages.

Ivor is now saying goodbye to a poster who is saying that fans are now going to Ebbsfleet.
Ivor is constantly slamming Charlton fans, he is a steward at wrecksum, and has polluted SE7 no more than five times in five seasons.

I wonder if his absence is due to allegedly banned for invading the pitch after a last minute goal against Fleetwood?

 

Is that because Ebbsfleet is a Peter Varney connection?

I’m not in to any kind of conflict myself and I don’t know what was posted over on ITTV but all I do know is Lardy is a gent and I’m sure he wouldn’t condone anything to do with the holocaust , it appears IA stirred up a bit of a frenzy- I’ve never liked him or bothered to acknowledge him , chin up Lardy don’t let the bastards grind you down !

I did refer to the Holocaust, as the ultimate consequence when a person or group of people are demonised, to the point where hurting them becomes justifiable or even desirable. Thomas Sandgaard is undoubtedly unpopular, but he is not the monster that he is being painted as on that forum.
Most recently a story has been invented that US billionaires were about to buy CAFC, but Sandgaard alone was preventing it by his greed over the size of his cut of the deal. So tarring him as even more of a hate figure - deserving of being 'taught a lesson' in a dark alley.
Normalising hate and violence should always be opposed in my view.

IA picked up the Holocaust reference though, and pretended to be disgusted by it, accusing me of trivialising those events I guess.
My response to this was that his outrage was fabricated in order to attack me for no better reason than he enjoys doing so at every opportunity.
He responded by saying he was a refugee from the Holocaust and I had insulted all his relatives who had been victims of it.

I refused to apologise for my original Holocaust reference, because there was nothing about it in my opinion that needed an apology. Rather than trivialising it, I had been trying to de-trivialise the persecution of a person here and now, to the point where it's seen as OK that he be physically assaulted.

And I refused to apologise for accusing IA of deliberately misinterpreting my words and twisting them into something they were not. Because that is what he always does in response to anything I post, and he has done for years.

But that position led to several other members taking IA's side against me, including Dick Plumb.
His reaction is largely due to a grudge he has held against me since he closed his 'Charlton Chat' forum a few months ago.
He says that was my fault. However he was the one who pulled the plug on his own forum (as administrator he was the only one who could).
He closed it down in a fit of pique after we had an argument.
Truth was he had wanted to close it for a while, and our spat gave him a good excuse.

I thought at the time it was a petty thing to do, as several members there including myself had put a lot of time and effort into helping it for over a year.
But for him to put the blame on me is ridiculous and immature in the extreme.
So he was more than happy to join IA and condemn me in the strongest possible terms - as you can read in the post he made earlier in Elf's 'leader' thread.
Doubtless it makes him feel better about himself.

Everything I posted on ITTV is there as a matter of public record, unless some or all of it has been deleted.
My only regret is that I responded so bluntly to IA's initial condemnation of me. Ideally I should have just ignored it, but in truth I think the damage was done by then. I would have been hounded out of the forum anyway, so I decided to tell it like it was.

I don't want this issue to drag on over here, it has nothing to do with this community.
It's really about the ongoing feud between IA and myself, which will never come to an end.
We cannot both be members of the same forum, as every exchange between us turns very toxic.
It's not fair to other forum members, the huge majority of whom just want to enjoy their time online.

So hopefully the members over on ITTV can go back to having a nice time without the toxic rows.
I'll stay away from now on, for the sake of the wider peace.

And I hope this is the last time I need to comment on yesterday's events.
Just recounting it again is not pleasant.
Time to move on if possible, to get back to enjoying following the fortunes of our team.

Agree totally, Ridiculous butted in, as he, I understand, is a Jew.
A bit rich as he likened Kojak and me to Covid. He had to make a public apology if I remember correctly.
Fake outrage from Williamson, a disgusting poster. He probably lied about his family background.

 

I don't doubt the truth of IA's post about his family history.

But my Holocaust reference was at worst out of proportion. I could perhaps have chosen a less extreme example of violence being used against people after they had been demonised by propaganda and lies. In retrospect I can understand why some might view it as trivialising a terrible event, when my intention was to de-trivialise the mistreatment of TS and the wishes that somebody physically hurts him.

IA's response though was designed solely to demonise me, because every post he has ever made regarding me over the last several years has been designed to attack me or discredit me or spread falsehoods about me.
As I said, it's better for everyone concerned that we never coexist on the same forum again.

I'm ready to move on from this whole nasty spat - probably the nastiest one we've ever had, and hopefully the very last one.

 

Ivor is a fraud and can be destroyed with his posts.
