From that article: "I remember telling him to do whatever he wanted with the ball. That natural creativity of the African player, it is something that we try as much as possible not to kill“ Oh well, I give us 2 weeks to train it out of him.
That was a good read, and he sounds promising! It did make me laugh when it says: "I promoted him to the older group," recalls Dramani. "You can imagine what it was like, a boy born in 2002 with a group born in 1999" Interesting he doesn't refer to their actual ages. Is this because a lot of African players are all 'apparently' in their early twenties, despite playing professionally for the last 30 years!!
All of our players are very adept at passing a football. The trouble is, they never got to Chapter 2 of the coaching manual, where it explains that they should pass to members of their own team
I must admit I'm looking forward to seeing how the combination play between Sulemana and Onuachu works out. I'm hoping for something like Tadic and Pelle and that it's nothing like Fabrice and Crouch... https://m.independent.ie/sport/soccer/troubles-mounting-for-harry-26203213.html
I was hoping someone would spot that! To be fair, he has literally found his feet in Ligue 1, and had a great World Cup. It’s a great pity that he never really clicked for us.
Based on precisely nothing other than gut feel, I'm more excited about Sulamana than Tall Paul, but I think TP will give us more moments that we'll chuckle at.
Sulamana will certainly give us excitement. Him on the left and Edozie on the right could be interesting!
Just watched his interview on youtube and.. I really like him! He's got a bit of a spark, a glint in the eye, a hint of mishcief and a bit of mongrel about him (New Zealand saying - complimentary not derogatory!)
I have to agree. I think he has something about him and I hope he gets a full home debut on Saturday.
He has to start every game along with Tall Paul. If they are fit play them. Don't chop and change. We do not have a choice and at least then nobody can say they just need a run of 6 games ala pretty much every other foreign signing for last 5 years or so!
Orsic/Edozie, Onuachu, Sulemana need to start every game now., Let them buiild the partnerships. I'd like to see Alcaraz start in the 10 spot, Feeding them all the ball.
