I am fearing that appointment tbh, much rather they had gone with Bielsa.

But unlike Saints they have gone with a logical appointment who fits their current situation, I am hoping they don’t get the logical outcome.

    Agreed.

But that said, I don't understand how a club can go from Bielsa to Dyche. Their styles are hardly next to each other on the managerial spectrum. In fact, they could barely be any further apart. What exactly are you looking for in a manager, Everton? The state of that club...

I suspect that Everton's board are looking for a manager that will keep them up, at any cost to style and quality, just to keep the Sky money rolling in next season, as well as convincing (fooling?) the Everton fans into spending more money to support/follow their club

Know that feeling all too well. Shame that so many players, despite the crap they say, do not give a **** or have any gratitude to clubs that gave them a huge platform.

I said this with Cucurella but they probably need to sell him to have a chance of bringing in players of similar quality / promise in the future.
This hardball stuff is admirable in a way but will surely lead to future signings demanding release clauses which Brighton might not like. They apparently already refuse to deal with buy back clauses which is why they lost out on Livramento and likely why Colwill is only a loan. They could likely have had at least 2.5 years of both and a fixed profit (in the "worst case scenario" but instead get one year of one). Granted they don't need to profit due to the others they are generating but every little helps

I think it doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t give a **** or have gratitude, it’s just what you have to do to get the move. Ultimately it’s the players life/career and when a big move presents itself it’s obviously in the players interest to take it.

I’m sure most players are thankful/grateful to the clubs who helped them ultimately get the big move, but they all want to play at the top and earn the most money and that means they have to be looking after their best interests

You can still get the move. Brighton are willing to sell him at the end of the season when they have time to replace him. As it is, that isn't good enough for him so he is throwing his toys out the pram.

Not all are like it. Sadio Mane wanted to leave when United came in for him, we asked for another season and he then moved to liverpool for a good fee. It worked out well for all parties and it didn't tarnish his relationship with the club.

Yes but he won't get a PL winners medal at the send of the season. By moving to Arsenal now he gets a great shot at that.

And brighton need him to potentially quality for European football and give an incredible few nights to their fans next season.

He signed a contract, the least he could do was wait until they can replace him to move.

You can but there is no guarantee. You might get injured, the buying team might opt to buy someone now and have no need for you. When the move is there I can see why they want to take it immediately as it is, well, there and guaranteed at the time.

I agree there is a difference between players in how they might go about it, but when a big team comes in it is very hard to keep hold of the player. I remember in Manes final season he was very inconsistent and only seemed to turn up against the big teams, probably wanting to show them what he could do, and wasn’t as fussed when we played the smaller teams

All charges dropped against Mason Greenwood. It will be interesting to see what Man United do now as his behaviour was appalling.

Unless that audio clip wasn't him I'm staggered that's the case.

Then again, if the old bill can get away with it...

Shouldn't matter imo, if the recording is verified to be him there's enough evidence there without her going to court.

Hmmm, not sure TBH. I think her testimony would have been needed on top of that to get convictions on the assault and attempted rape charges at the very least.

I was including lesser charges as well tbh.

This is the audio for those who didn't hear it at time. Grim as **** and blood boiling.

I think a good lawyer creates enough doubt with just the recording that it could be someone other than Greenwood.
